They don't want the good stuff in the hands of the public. The last time that happened millions went out on the street and said "Hey Hey LBJ, how many kids have you killed today?" Right after that we had our "war on drugs" that removed all mind expanding drugs from the street.

wow this could take awhile. Legalizing marijuana would be a massive undertaking. How would the American government regulate and control the growing, distibuting and selling of legalized pot. Chances are they will not. Drung companies also play a large role as they have the American populus of a well conceived plan. Ever notice how much money is involved in US Drug giants. They control the funding that controls the white house. therefore why allow the common folk to grow there own remedies when we can force them into spending billions on our litle red pills.

Cause it's supposedly a gateway drug. Whatever! Alcohol can be a gateway drug too and I think it's alot worse than pot plus it also kills brain cells as well just like pot does. So yeah why don't they?
I agree about the whole tobacco thing. I think that may be why. Pot has some medical benefits or else it wouldn't have been legal to use medically. Maybe just maybe the government would like us to continue to die from stuff that pot could help with because they need us to keep dying to keep down the population.
Eventually I think it will be legalized and the USA may just be a happier less crime filled place and it may even help out with all those drunk drivers.

Wow, were you on the Ganja when you wrote this?
Revenues, not "revanues"
Can't, not "cant"
Education, not "eduation"
The main reason Marijuana isn't legal in the U.S. has to do with the tobacco industry more than anything else, and the societal stigma surrounding the type of people that tended to use the substance in the 1950's, 1960's and 1970's.
Personally, I'm totally in favor of it being legalized in the U.S. even though I'd not be one of those enjoying such legalization.
And now, drum roll please....I'm at Level 3 now.
WOOOOOT!!!!

Long story....your spelling proves a point for the ones in power...They get hold of your post and will say....See? It kills brain cells.
Really no good reason...Like Prohibition it doesn't work.....Probably because they ( Gov't) couldn't control it, after all it is a weed that grows almost anywhere..

The DEA and other law enforcement agencies would loose revenue.
The short of it is that there is more money in it for the government by keeping it illegal than there would be in legalizing or decriminalizing and taxing it.

Ca, OR and Washington State have had limited pot leagal for health reasons...you can even grow if you have a medical pot card..up to 8 plants in CA. But, if they legalized for all they couldn't fill up their new jails..built by contractors taking your polititions to lunch.
