It's not an art form that I would probably appreciate. But, as with the true meaning of freedom of speech, my personal tastes have nothing to do with an artist's right to create something that may not suit me. And, this teacher's artistic activities in no way harms people, young or old. Clearly, some self-righteous bigots have stepped over the line here and I am glad for the teacher because, as enterprising as his artistic idea is, the millions he will be awarded in court for these bigots' treatment of him, will give him a happy margin of freedom from the constraints of any association with such feeble-minded people and with which to become a more serious, and, free, artist.

I think it was a sad day for the First Amendment. This teacher has just as much right to freedom of speech as the rest of us. He was apparently not showing his 'butt art' to his students and did this on his own time and I don't think he should have lost his job. As I understand from reading articles about this was that it was other students who made it known what the teacher was doing and he did not publicly promote his art so in a sense it was the students who were creating the distractions...not the teacher. I think his job should be reinstated.

This is clearly a case of freedom of expression. I am so sick of people holding teachers to some sort of "higher standard". They took no oath of moral superiority. They were put through the same crappy school system and brought up by the same faulty parenting as everyone else. Why expect them to be any different, much less better, than the rest of society? Maybe intellectually they are a little smarter and better educated than many people, but morally, no. What any law-abiding person does on his own time is his own business. Let him keep his job.

i do not supply a shyte what every person says. John Davis. Korn helped launch the recent metallic move. i do not even evaluate it new metallic, pondering they shaped fuc*ing 13 years in the past! So their song has gotten somewhat mellower, their all pushing 40. i do not pick any grief, you requested MY opinion besides i imagine this because they have carried out many covers, all practically as good because the originals, They shaped rap with metallic, and honestly made it sound good, all in all they're outstanding musicians. fantastically Johnathan Davis is a outstanding singer

I don't think he should have been fired because he was doing it on his own time, not on school property, and students were not involved in the "butt print art"

Well I thought that I had heard it all! Butt print art! Pretty nasty but no, he should not have been fired. It is a little gross but it isn't a big offense.

Would you seriously be able to look at this guy if you were in his class? He put paint on his nuts, too.
Sorry, that's just a little too weird for me.
How would you feel if your son or daughter was in his class and they'd seen this crap on the 'net?
