it depends on her insurance plan. Every car insurance plan has a pay out to victim number. If her number is 150K that is all you'll get but her number can also be 15K. If she is well off, you an also file a civil suit against her. You will have to see a lawyer and your lawyer will be able to give you a more on the spot answer. hope your hubby gets better.

What do you mean what are we looking at? Do you mean health wise the implications of the accident upon your husband's health or are you asking how much money you think you will receive from the lawsuit?

You can sue the negligent parties insurance company (the person's ins. co. covering the person who was driving the car that hit the vehicle you were riding in ) and if this person was borrowing the car and had insurance coverage but it was NOT the car involved in this accident, you could sue BOTH the driver of the car driving the car that hit you (their ins. co. normally) and the ins. co. that had coverage on the car being driven by someone else besides the owner of the car.

Furthermore, you could also sue the ins. co. covering the car you were riding in if the other party that caused your husband's injuries did not have any car insurance or enough insurance on the vehicle to cover the damages to your spouse. riding in, under their uinsured/under insured policy limits, if they had this coverage.

You need to know the coverage of insurance on the vehicles and you might even have to sue your own insurance company under your motor vehicle coverage for uninsured/under insured coverage if your damages were in excess of the policy limits involved in this case.Who knows what money you will recover, if any, from your lawsuit as insurance companies settle on a case by case basis.

Much more info needed. It all depends on a number of different things.

IT ALL DEPENDS ON THE ATTORNEYS AND THE INSURANCE COMPANY. IT'S HARD TO DETERMINE A MONETARY AMOUNT. THEY WILL COME AT YOU LOW AND YOUR ATTORNEY WILL GO HIGH IT'S ALL A GAME IN COURT.

whatever you sue for your lawyer will get at least half.
