Be stopped many times taking photos in a public place. But even say in a shopping mall what can they do? Can they take the camera, arrest you etc. I stop when asked as I can always go back some other time. I plan to carry a recorder in future so if the situation gets out of hand and they assalt me I will have evidence. I take photos of shops and artwork avoiding people were I can. I need to know what powers these 'security' people have. The police in general leave me alone

There is the question for those that cannot follow a train of thought.
Here is my view:
(I will be using black and white for this exercise)
Someone (White) hates black people.
he kills a black person. He gets 40 yrs + 10 extra because it is a "hate crime"
would he have to hate to kill, even if it were momentary?
If the black guy (for example) was in bed with the other guy's wife and gets killed, the hate might be momentary, but it would still be hate and the dead guy would be just as dead (no matter the motive)!
now let's say the white guy hates blacks and, as he is driving down the road, he yells F' YOU' NI**ER!
Should this guy get 10 years in jail?
I say no! why not? because the actual crime (assault-verbal abuse) is not nearly as severe as the crime of murder!
EVEN THOUGH THE HATE IS EQUAL!

OK Let's hear it both sides please.

The 5th prohibits any person being tried for the same crime twice. So if OJ Simpson admitted to killing his wife, there is nothing the judicial system could do about it except maybe charging him with perjury or amending the Constitution.

Reporters of New York Times, Los Angeles Times and Wall Street Journal disclosed publicly the secret Terrorists Financial Monitoring Program which harmed the national security and made the Anti-Terrorism War hard to move forward. Personally, I think reporters and publishers of these three mainstream newspaper deliberately ignoreed the fact of 9-11 Terrorist Attack and allowed to publicly disclose something should be kept extremely confidential was a very irresponsible act and should be all prosecuted.

"We are killing the killer" if we kill someone, we deserve it too. Or we are trying to sweep what we might call contaminated society.

I don't know .... be honest and you get best answered.

Do I have rights to take my daughter and move out of state? Her father and I were never married and he walked out on her when she was 3 and a half months. She is now 6 months and he still has not called to see how she is doing or to see if he can see her. He pays some money to me every 2 weeks, but that is all he does. I would lile to start over with my life, and want to move where I have some family. We have never been to court, so I wanted to know if I have the right to move with her.

The case is in a different county than I live in. Evidence that was given in court records is "missing" when suppenaed. Person on the opposing side has friends whom works in the records keeping department so the missing evidence is suspect but difficult to prove and I don't know where to start proving tampering case.

Many states are trying to come up with a Lethal Injection that is not cruel. Is this something we should even consider? Who among you feels as I do that "They should die the way their victims died"?
They did not kill with mercy. Why show them any?

Research involving human stem cells...promises new treatments and possible cures for many debilitating diseases and injuries, including Parkinson's disease, diabetes, heart disease, multiple sclerosis, burns and spinal cord injuries. Isn't it ridiculous for people who have already decided that it is moral to kill babies in the name of war to show some squeamishness about destroying human embryos in a petri dish?
