if we up age to attain a DL to 25 yrs old, maybe we can start saving in insurance cost.

It isn't going to happen because of the political clout they carry.
However if an arbitrary age like 16 is made for the onset of driving rights, then the equitable thing to do would be to make 76 the maximum age.

Yeah you probably right. But young people cause more accident's per capita. So I think the best solution would be to test people, say, over the age of 65 primarily for reflex's and eyesight. And maybe continue testing them every couple of years, until they are unable to pass. And young people ought to have there licence suspended for 1 or 2 month's after their first accident or violation, and maybe 6 month's to a year after the next and so on.

no, but they should enforce the legal eyesight laws that the elderly manage to bend, as well as mental alertness laws, and so forth.
MOST 75 year olds should not be allowed to drive; for obvious reasons which are connected to health. So connect the solution to the problem to the real problem, not an age group.

There are SOME (a small minority) of senior drivers who are safe.

wrong. i think any 16-18 year old should not be allowed to drive any form of motor vechicle at night or atleast not without an adult.I don't now how many times there have been accidents around that age group.

personally i'm against old people driving. cuz they have really slow reflexes. and most of the time, they are the cause of many accidents. most of all they suck at driving !!!
