Let's just say their parents were put in prison for some reason, do they try to find a relative in the states or in the home country first? But what if the parents refuse to cooperate and give names of relatives? Does the child then become a citizen due to these circumstances or are they still an illegal?

Over half the politicians during the Clinton days are making big buck as lobbyist. you hear a lot about lobbyist but do you know just what these people do? Lobbyist help corps, other countries and so many things that are rotten. they are paid well. dem, gop, businessmen, lobbyists, call them what you will, just know what their foremost motive is. it is not for the sake of ordinary americans. they are in position to do you great harm because it might enrich them. the will lobby or mexicans, people from brazil to help get braziliam frujit and crops in our stores. competition can improve things but not a tsnunami an endless wave taking the parents jobs and destroy millions of ordinary lives. the people a tier up laugh at those who are replaced. they have no sympathy or sense of brotherhood o anything. they are part of the sickness that will end ouir traditiona ways of life. the church, the local school maybe the language. the main point is that we didn't ask fpr this. stop it!!! damn them

Now i have learned two of my nephews got layed off from a big construction company. Bother are journeymen electricians. Within a few days they learned the company had hired more than they laid off. And who do you think replaced my union nephews? You guessed right. They speak spainish, not english, and they are skilled workers. But they make half as much as my union nephews who are now on unemployment until the try to find something that pays enough. I will bet that story is typical all over over the usa. Yes, and i have a neighbor who runs his own air conditioning and heating contract company. He is being eaten alive, he says, by people from the south who can do the work and have cut his business in half over the past couple of years. Millions of contractors (carpet layers, brick masons, plumbers etc.) are suffering. But the government thinks immigration, waves of people crisscrossing the border is good. I don't and it is natural they would come and take over. Need new blood in DC!!!!!

ok so to all you people say that mexicans need to go back to were they came from and the border needs to be secured...i know alot of people that come here with a visa from all over the world especially south america... well they only have like 1 year to stay here but they end up staying for ever they have kids here... and they usually have ok jobs nothing like farming or anything hard labor... so why don't you guys have a problem with that only with people that cross the border... any ways i just wonder... i think they destroy the middle class americans more than mexicans working in the farms... i'm just saying...

the eu plans to rule the uk is totally unacceptable. the long-range benefits are wrong. germany has many long-range plans to change the world at the outset of ww2. rome has long-range plans and they lasted longer but there is no roman empire anymore. what is most important to you? a cheap sony plasma tv or your friends and family and our history and tradition? why cannot everybody see what is happening? must be some drugs in the water system. nobody wants to stand up. that was never the case before. what the hell is wrong with everybody?

Shouldn't we let all the criminals out of prison?

They were just trying to have a better life, why should other Americans have better stuff and more things?

Is it fair that someone gets separated from their children just because they broke stupid laws that they didn't like?

Shouldn't everyone be allowed to disregard the laws if they feel they are unfair? How can they get a decent life for their children unless they break the law?

Why should anyone have the right to say one person can have more and others should suffer?

People with good hearts should give away their stuff so everyone else can be happy.

No one except Native Americans have any right to any thing. Everyone else just came here and stole from them so they should all have to give up everything they stole.

And all the criminals should be forgiven and allowed to be free and have the same rights as everyone else.

Hillary again demonstrated her ability to dance around direct questions and avoid taking a stand. In an interview tonigh she did a magnificent job of stepping around questions this evening about her support for states giving illegal aliens drivers license. When asked if she supports the idea she said she supports the governors doing what they think they need to do. When they tried to pin her down to her opinion about DLs for illegals she managed to skirt a positive answer. She did say she thinks illegal aliens who are in the United States and are working, causing no problems and desire legal status then we should give them legal status. This woman is out of her mind! Polls show that 88% of Americans do not support amnesty for illegals; why does she continue to support it. That is why she avoided a positive answer because she knows if the American voter knows her true feeling she will loose votes. Watch the news; se how she skirted the answer and then tell me - is she worth your vote

Are you tired of hearing that the only legal citizens are the American Indian? Isn't this just a way to avoid the real issue?

I have indian blood in me and I donot resent what happened, because I understand what happened and it is a dog eat dog world. People seem to think that the only ones that were ever screwed over were the Indian..

What's the deal here?

first, he's from lebanon. when i first asked him about his immigrations status, he said he didn't understand his paperwork, which would be highly odd considering how important paperwork is and how smart he is. then i asked specifically if he had a green card and he said yes. ah hem.

so, when we were talking about our honeymoon, i wanted to visit my family in australia, and he said he can't leave the US because he'd need a special visa to come back. i know that means he has some kind of work visa because my mom used to have a green card before she became a citizen and it worked like a passport in that regard.

i offered to "help" him "get together" his immigrations paperwork because i want the real story, and he keeps changing the subject.

now, we've known each other for 3 months and we're engaged. he wants to get married by the end of the year. he's been here for 9 months.

so you think he's a fraud marrying me for immigrations reasons?

I was given this question in class today:
There are often conflicts between the levels of government. For ex: The issue of education. What is another example of an issue that has become a problem because of differing ideas/laws from the state to the federal level?

And here's what I've got for an answer: (What do you think?)

The first thing that comes to mind on conflicting ideas/laws is the serious issue of illegal immigration - to be more specific, providing illegal aliens with worker ID's and Driver's Licenses. A Minnesota state senator and NY Governor, Eliot Spitzer, stated that they were in favor of providing worker ID cards to illegal immigrants. Providing them with valid identification, allowing them to board planes!

Here's where I'm going with this - There is no federal law that prohibits it! The vast majority of states are strongly opposing this, but as you know, Federal Law trumps state law.

Does it even pertain to the question? Please help!
Thanks.

Do you think that the government should just "SEND THEM BACK TO THEIR OWN COUNTRY" or that they're "TAKING OUR JOBS"?? If you answered YES to either one of these questions, you are a racist. You should really re-examine yourself and ask yourself this question:

Why is the USA, which was originally made of immigrants (save the Native Americans) so NEGATIVE towards legalizing all of these illegals?

What's so wrong with the idea of giving people a chance to legalize when, if not given a chance, will still be here doing whatever they're doing regardless of the fact of citizenship?! It will actually SAVE the US billions of dollars in police and judicialwork.

Someone explain.

Last week the state of New York announced a plan that would provide a type of license to illegal immigrants. A Minnesota state senator also stated that he was in favor of providing worker ID cards to illegal immigrants. Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff has said that he opposes giving IDs to illegal immigrants, but there is no federal law that prevents it. New York Governor Eliot Spitzer says that the new IDs will bring undocumented immigrants into society and help lower auto insurance rates. What do you think?

Since illegal immigrants to the U.S. are most common in Southwestern states that were once part of Mexico (and Florida, which was once part of Spain), could we simply rescind the treaty(ies) that made those places part of the U.S. and return them to Mexico (etc.), thereby making the Mexican persons in those places into "persons in their own country" and the U.S. citizens in those places into "aliens"?

would you help her and her child if somehow you were at the spot where both were slowly, painfully dieing of thirst and fever, knowing that if you helped an illegal person trying to cross the US border, you would be helping a CRIMINAL? or would you do nothing and let the CRIMINALS die? to make it worse, there's no border patrol around and you don't have a cellphone or anyway of contacting help, and you happen to be holding bread and a gallon of water. just put your racist self in that situation and answer.
