I just heard that's in the works. I think it's a good idea personally and I'm one of those Pro's.

"Huh?"

Seriously, I don't think most people even understand the issue.

Obviously, there would be some negative reaction from pro-illegals. But, for once, it'd be justified. The problem with ending birthright citizenship is that it can create a permanent underclass of stateless non-citizens.

Say your parents come here illegallly. You're born, no 14th Amendment, you're not a citizen. You may or may not be a citizen of thier country. You have kids. Since you're an illegal non-citizen, so are they. You never even tell them where they're grandparents were were from. You die. Your children have no country, and no rights.

Sound good?

That would get rid of a fair amount of them, but the public reaction to enforcing the laws already on the books and increasing the penalties for breaking them was increased would be much better.

A lot of people would probably faint on the spot If our elected "REPRESENTATIVES" actually listened to their constituents........ http://www.numbersusa.com/interests/birthrightcitizenship.htm
