PLEASE, She had so many qualities.
Not every thing she done was right, but EVERY THING she done was for the UK and NOT BRUSSELS.

PS I would make a great Prime Minister, I will fix this country and want NO wages, just basic costs of living.
I WOULD WORK FOR FREE.

Margaret Hilda Thatcher ! ! ! Anyone who wants to have that clown back as Prime Minister must be barking mad!!!!!!!!!! I remember the two economic recessions that followed back to back during that Conservative administration. No work with decent pay, people having their homes repossessed and bosses bullying people who were unfortunate enough to work for them. Pay cuts, Iron fist policies, started a war over an obscure, penguin shat Island in the South Atlantic and ending with the country suffering the leadership of a bespectalled wuss called Mr Zomboid John Major?

It was a soul destroying time all round except for the folks who lived down South of the country because they made all the money whereas we, here in the North, had next to nothing. Yuppies were shamelessly flashing their huge wads of money around while four million plus people here had to suffer the hardships of living off the dole.

Unemployed folk were being hounded by government officials (In Job Centres) who demanded written evidence each week that you were actively looking for employment. There were no sustainable jobs to be procured and yet you were told, by the then almighty Norman Tebbit, to get on your bike, like his dad did to find work.

Just over £2 per hour was the normal pay rate you could expect here in the North and you could not say boo to a goose elsewise you would be constantly reminded that there was four million people on the dole who would be glad to have your job! I never knew a country to be so depressed and as ugly in attitude because Thatcherism bred an attitude within people's nature to say, "Sod you Jack, I am alright!"

No, it would be a disaster and yet the Conservatives still bang on about how they could do right where Labour have done the wrong. If you want your home repossessed and you want to spend a couple of years languishing on the dole, then vote Conservative because I am most convinced they would oblige.

However, Maggie would indeed have sent immigrants their marching orders by the thousand but would long periods of economic recession be acceptable just to get rid of a few foreigners?

Labour is making a pig's ear out of England and they are now trying to squirm their way back into public favour which, to me, is mission impossible because world trade and manufacturing is in a state of collapse and the Bank of England is not prepared to prop up the economy for very much longer.

The next recession is already steaming towards us full on and, within the next twelve months, you will be able to guage how much you are going to have to pull in your purse strings to survive an economy which will see hard cash in very short supply.

Immigration has increased the burdon on the british economy and social services and medical resources. Jobs are available only on rediculous rates of pay which would decrease even more under a Tory administration and, yes, our immigrant brothers and sisters will be happy to take these jobs while you and me go without!

Haven't a clue what the solution could be because there does not seem to be anyone else capable of being a good Prime Minister. Even Mary Poppins would be better than this crowd.

i don't think her way of doing things would work. It worked in the 80s because the country was in turmoil and the trade unions were bringing the country to its knees. Her form of management was needed to get the economy going again. Today we have a very strong economy (despite what some people on here like to say), she might be able to sort out the immigration problem a bit but i don't think she would be much use otherwise.

Definately not!!! Ma**ie Th****er (see i still cant bring myself to say her name) destroyed this country....killed trade unions, put supermarkets managers in charge of NHS hospital (which we are still suffering from), privitized everything, everyone and their granny!! As you may have guessed i'm not a ma**ie fan!!!! Also i don't think there is anyone in particular that would make a good PM, which a sad reflection of modern British politics!

No thank you. She did enough damage to this country. The destruction of our heavy industry and the decimation of many working class peoples' livelihoods and communities is testament to this.

I'd like to see Thatcher flogged through the streets for what she did to this country, old woman or not. I mean that literally.
