Any illegal, no matter where they originally come from, when caught should be deported. At the same time, the states, cities, towns, and federal government needs to immediately stop allowing illegals welfare, low income or free housing, etc., and enforce the laws that are on the books requiring that employers not hire them. Those things being done would make this country much less desirable for illegals to come to and would make those who are already here make their way home, the sooner the better.

Should they be deported ... yes. Will they be ... no. Honestly, to be completely realistic how would you even go about deporting 20 million people ...? The logistics of it just makes my head spin ... not to mention the fact that even attempting something of that magnitude should surely stoke xenophobic paranoia and lead to all kinds of civic unrest and problems.

Illegal Immigrants are breaking the law ... its plain and simple. Beyond the fact it is not fair to the tens of thousands of immigrants who come to this country legally every year, it also represents a serious economic and societal drain on the United States. And before you even try and label me a racist or a xenophobe (because thats exactly what the far left does in these situations) ... I am neither. I have numerous relatives and friends who are not of European descent and I respect them and like them just as much as anyone else. I have no problem with anyone coming to the United States ... as long as they do it legally. The issue I have is with people who come into this country illegally ...

We're going to have to do something, and I don't think mass deportation is a realistic answer ... quite frankly, I have no idea how to begin to tackle such a complicated issue.

ALL ILLEGAL ALIENS should be immediately deported.

I'm not prejudiced against Mexicans.

We deal with criminals who are citizens. And, we should also deal with criminals who don't belong here, violated our laws to get here, and continue to violate our laws just by being here.

Aside from the fact that I feel we should not welcome law-breakers, (we've got enough of our own) illegal aliens are a magnificent drain on the medical care system and social welfare systems, on down to community food pantries that were always intended to help members of their own communities, not illegals. If they're working, they've either stolen someone else's identity/SSN (causing that person harm) or they're working off-book/under the table, which means someone (their employer) isn't paying their fair share of taxes. Additionally, if we could purge our country of illegal aliens, there would be more jobs for unemployed citizens. I've heard the argument that American citizens don't want the jobs illegals are willing to do. I just don't believe it. I know plenty of people desperate for work, who'll do anything legal to support their family.

We should deport ALL illegals. Los Angeles would become a ghost town, People would be able to afford property again and the economy would boom. The racist mayor would have no one to vote for him and we could get rid of his punk a**..
There would no longer be a need to press 1 for english and we would no longer need ESL. We could actually spend our educational dollars on our children. Hospitals would become solvent and healthcare costs would be reduced.

The worst that could happen is you might have to give your order to a high school kid that actually speaks english at the drive thru window.

No, about half of the United States was part of mexico after all, and you just abused of their political instability to take away all their northern territories. Besides, many Mexicans have some Amerindian ancentry; therefore, they have more right over all America (not only USA) than any other European or African immigrant.

Yes.

They are freeloaders and don't add a thing to the economy despite the totally false "cheap labor" argument. Understand that there's a lot more here than meets the eye in terms of taxes they don't pay, money earned that they don't spend here, using health and social services for free, committing crimes, refusing to assimilate, disrespecting America and Americans (as a security issue) and etc...

Identify them, round them up, and deport them all.

They should be deported, yes, though thier country of origin should not give them any higher a priority for deportation than illegals from anywhere else.

1. Because they are illegal.
2. Because they are illegal.
3. Because they are illegal.

Don't need three reasons, just one!
