Who said it's just mexicans? It's not just mexicans but considering how many illegal immigrants are mexican then it presents the biggest problem. I say if they're illegal, and they're from Spain, India, South America or wherever they need to go back where they came from and become lawful citizens before coming over and breaking our laws right off the bat.

I don't care if they're "improving the economy" (which they're not but just saying). They need to follow the laws of the country the want to move to and go through the steps or get kicked out.

There are borders for a reason. I think some americans forget that and get too politically correct in their views about immigration.

I am an immigrant who came to the United States legally and my parents had to work their way through a lot of red tape...etc. This is something that immigrants from countries where life is just as bad as in Mexico (but are a lot further away) always have to do. The main idea is that when the government makes laws there is an expectation that those laws will be followed--otherwise what will the value of any of the laws of our nation (even the ones you think make more sense) be?

Sure, there are some folks from countries other than Mexico who come here or stay here illegaly, and that's wrong too. But the Mexicans are entering the US in droves. Much bigger problem. I don't really think they are "destroying the middle class Americans more than Mexicans working on farms".

Because they came here LEGALLY, that's why. Just to let you know, if someone comes here LEGALLY, they come here already with a LEGAL job, have a place to live that THEY pay for, and PAY TAXES. Illegals do not. Understand now? LEGAL immigrants are WELCOME, illegals are NOT.

IF they overstay their visa and don't have it renewed, then they are in the same boat as every other ILLEGAL that is here.

Most LEGAL immigrants do what is right and obey the immigration laws. Most LEGAL immigrants RESPECT THE US and aren't trying to take from the system without giving back, unlike ILLEGALS

I know what your getting at, but Mexicans are the only ones we see marching the streets waving Meixcan flags, demaning rights they don't deserve, calling anyone who dissagree's with them 'racist', thier the only ones who complain whenever there's an ICE raid, thier the only immigrant group we cater too (Spanish signs, have to be bilingual to apply for a job) and also the fact that they make up roughly 80-85% of the illegal population.

So yeah, it's really not that hard to figure out.

I have a problem with people crossing the border because iy is ileagal and who end up paying for them t\when they go to the hospital or somthing? Us the Leagel United States Taxpayers. Of have no proble with people with visas they have premission to stay here. If they stay past there visa they then become illegal and i got a problem with them too.

The US is a country of Immigrants, who didn't need visas to arrive and settle down. So I don't see the point behind prohibiting new immigrants from entering the country. What is happening is that "illegal" immigrants are being used for cheap labor. If immigration were to be more open and legalized, then people wouldn't have to be used in cheap labor without any guarantees, but it fits very well the employers to have such type of immigrants... they cost less.

i work in the construction field in Virginia and i SEE the contributions that mexican people make in america. the only problem i have is some of them abusing the tax laws here by coming here....working 4 a year tax free.....going back home 4 a few months...and then coming back here tax free again. as long as ANY immigrant pays taxes here...i have no problem with them! the citizens pay taxes...why shouldn't everyone else?

I do have the same problem with those who overstay visas as with those who cross the border illegally. Both are illegals, both are security risks, both need to go home. The borders need to be secured, but interior enforcement is even more critical.

I think the worst immigrant problem we have is the Eastern Indians buying every hotel, gas station, truck stop, etc. from us! I worked for them a couple different times and they pay most people minimum wage and retire in 20 years (from their mouth) a millionaire because our money is worth so much more than there's.
