She got the boot from the U.S. government which, in all its diligence, of course failed to deport her. Now I hear she is married again, to someone I presume is a U.S. citizen. Does this nullify the revocation of her visa? She started openly going with this guy literally the day after we decided to divorce. I've always thought it was the greatest justice against her to have her be an illegal alien.

This surprised me and many people I know.My husbands Grandfather was American ,as is his mother( applied retrospectively) .He has always wanted to live and work there. He applied to the embassy and had advice from a US lawyer. There is a lottery which is open to all nationalities and races in the world.if you are Irish you can stroll in ,no lottery needed. However ,if you are a british passport holder the answer is NO! you cant even get in the lottery.I was surprised that this is the case as the UK has given support from our armed forces in terms of lives and money and yet this discrimination exists. The reason given was that they need more diversity. What do you think of this ?

prisons? I've heard rumors of everything from 30 to 90% of new inmates are illegals, mostly from Mexico.
I have found different info and wonder if anyone out there knows of a good site to confirm with authority what the real numbers are?

I have learned that as many as 40% of illegals are actually passport overstayers. I know that Santa Monica, CA is a big haven for illegal British, Irish, and Germans. There are also a lot of illegal Canadians running around, too.

Someone I have met through a friend of mine, who we thought was working towards becoming a citizen of the US, has done just the opposite.
He hasn't done anything for 2 1/2 years except work under the table, lie, be deceitful and dishonest.
I can give anyone a chance and the benefit of the doubt, but 2 1/2 years has been too long. Especially for someone who has turned out to be so underhanded.
Can you give me any information on how to have him deported?
Your help will be much appreciated.

Poll: Mexicans Say U.S. is Racist

Newsmax | April 23 2006

A new poll on Mexican attitudes towards the U.S. debate on illegal immigration has found that a large plurality of those surveyed say Americans who favor tighter border security are "racist."

The survey, co-sponsored by the Dallas Morning New and Mexico's El Universal newspaper, found that the largest segment of respondents - 43 percent - cited racism as the chief reason that Americans oppose illegal immigration.

A much smaller number - 16 percent - said U.S. citizens are most concerned about law enforcement. Just 14 percent think Americans are not racist, but fear being overrun by foreign cultures.

"Yes, it's true about racism," said Gloria Vázquez Solache, 59, a Mexico City resident who was among those polled. "They humiliate our countrymen and even burn Mexican flags. Fear of a 'foreign culture' is nonsense."

The same poll found that 76 percent of Mexicans think that crossing into the U.S. illegally should not be a crime.
79 percent of Mexicans want illegals already in the US to be legalized.

For example would it have been better to raise the fences here at home to make it more difficult to become an American citizen, we could have kept our troops at home defending this country and we could have kept our money inhouse?

Would descendants of white europeans living here in America have a problem with that. I'm not trying to offend anyone or be racist. I'm just curious because we talked about this in my ethnic studies class.

Their are 12 million Illegals in the USA probably like 75% of them are Mexicans so if their are 100 million Mexicans in Mexico well thats not that bad I think you gringos are overacting.

Like sometimes you say overthrow your goverment and get a new one "well to all the ignorants that say that " Mexico alrady had like 4 revolutions we need good smart leaders like Pancho VIlla, but America sent hitmen to kill him so until their are educated people that want a change then Mexico will probably never be successful in a revolition..

Look at the USA their revolutionary leaders were superve leaders higly skilled and decorated military leaders as well as rich educated men unless those kinds of people in Mexico want to revolt then a revolution now will be destroy the deconomy rather than help it but I guess educated people in mexico are content

The illegal aliens have all but walked over the US! If I am going to learn a second language, it will be because I WANT to...not because someone who breaks the law WANTS me to so they don't have the respect to learn ENGLISH which IS the language that the US uses...if it wasn't then we wouldn't be using English in the courts...to be on a jury you need to speak and write fluently in English.

I am curious as to what people think about immigration... There are pros and cons to the issue so I am not looking at just one end. I feel that we all have a voice. President Bush is wanting to build a wall along the Mexico border. I feel that its not morally correct. I want to kno what you all think about whether or not this is correct or necessary for our country

Ok, I heard that they are wanting to or have passed a bill to allow children of illegal immigrant parents to apply to stay in the U.S. once they are 18 and attend 2 years of college or 2 years of military? is this true? (I hope so there are so many kids that did not choose to come to this country and once they turn 18 are finding out that they have no where to go, and can not get a job) I do not agree with illegals coming to this country, but it is the children that are getting caught up in this. Let me know what you have heard? thank you.

Since most of the West has declining birthrates and America is barely holding it's own (the replacement rate is 2.1 children per woman) Will the Mexican immigration someday be a blessing is disguise?

This statement is relevent to illegal aliens flooding into the United States.

It doesn't matter what our politicians do, what they say or what vested interest they are trying to push down the throats of Americans. We won't take it. Amnesty won't sit well, ignoring our laws, and undermining our identity as Americans isn't gonna fly. The politicians supporting illegals are very careful with their wording, "Comprehensive Immigration Reform". There is no hiding the truth. It will all come to light soon, and THERE WILL BE A BACKLASH.

your thoughts?

Every day I see my fellow Americans blaim the Hispanic community for the problems of job loss in America. I just dont understand why this is. Do you not see the politicians going over seas on trips? Do you not see that Nafa has played a big role in jobs being moved to the other side of the border ie Canada too? Do you not see big copurate america moving their companies over seas for cheaper labor? Did you not see the ships sitting just off are coast waiting for the bill that President Bush did not sign back into office? The textile industry has suffered in America because of this, 1000 jobs a day lost because of this. Its not immigration that is the problem, it is are politicians that are selling us down the river! America needs to wake up and see the big picture. If you are tired of seeing people try to make a better life for themselves, then maybe you should leave. People would not come here if they did not think that IT COULD HAPPEN. What could happen you ask, a better life...
