I have a question about deportation record and greencard. My friend, he is from eastern Europe had reportation record in the U.S. about 10 years ago. He decided to go to immigration prison, and spent about two years there. he has been trying to get Greencard of EB1. It's for extraordinary ability, he was the U.S. champion in one athletic area. Is there possibility that he can get greencard? If so, hos much possibilities are there? Currently, he has stayed in the U.S., illegally.

I dont, bottom line is it helps destroy the middels class and bust up umions. Im all for immigrants if they start getting paid the same wages of the people that they took the jobs from. Well, they didnt take jobs, rich company owners gave those jobs were they could get cheaper labor. ever wonder why the INS is called in on the last days of big refinery jobs, the owners call them to get out of the last checks.

They take our jobs but do you think it is their fault for illegally entering the country or the companies' fault for illegal hiring them? I mean they take jobs that most Americans don't want to do anyway and they work for a smaller pay check also.

I as well as others who have compassion for a people who want to try to make better lives for themselves are often told to "GO BACK HOME TO MEXICO!" Most of you who don't side with us assume we are Mexican not even considering that if we WERE Hispanic we could come from one of MANY different countries. To me that just shows how White America thinks. You only think about yourselves & your own personal interests & what benefits you. You assume that's how all others think too. That is why you assume we are Mexican. Why is it so difficult to understand that there are people in the world who care about others of a different race, others with their own personal struggles regardless of their skin color or the language they speak? Why must we be "MEXICAN" (white translation = illegal) just because we understand why Latin Americans want to come here & because we defend them being here?

California Bill Would Give Newborns $500 Savings Accounts
Thursday, March 01, 2007

E-MAIL STORY PRINTER FRIENDLY VERSION
SACRAMENTO — Every child born in California would get a $500 savings account to start building a nest egg for college or down payment for a home, under a bipartisan bill introduced Wednesday in the state Senate.

The proposal would cost taxpayers about $285 million a year.

A similar program has increased savings in Great Britain since 2002, but California would be the first state in the nation to enact it, said David Lesher, California program director for the nonprofit New America Foundation, based in Washington, D.C. A national savings program has been pending in Congress since 2005.

Under the bill, every child born in California after Jan. 1, 2008, would receive the money, regardless of their parents' income or immigration status. Recipients would repay the state's initial $500 investment once they turn 18.

The money may be used for three purposes: college or continuing education, a down payment on a home or a retirement account.

"This is the essence of equal opportunity. Every child, every person ought to get a head start," said Sen. Darrell Steinberg, D-Sacramento, who introduced the bill with Sen. Bob Dutton, R-Rancho Cucamonga.

About 566,000 children are expected to be born in California next year.

If families added $50 a month to the state's initial contribution, the savings account would grow to nearly $17,500 at 5 percent interest over 18 years. Steinberg said that would promote saving money in a culture that now is carrying record levels of debt and has the lowest savings rate since the Great Depression.

"It sounds like another give-away with other people's money — 'a chicken in every pot,"' said Jim Uhler, spokesman for The National Tax Limitation Committee in Roseville, a Sacramento suburb. "With the budget in the red again ... we have other pressing issues."

Dutton said the money would be "an investment in the child's future," said his spokesman, Larry Venus. "He looks at this as a hand up, not a hand out."

Steinberg said the state's $131 billion annual budget spends taxpayers' money on far more dubious programs.

"There's no question these are significant dollars," Steinberg said. "But look, we spend so much more on things that don't have nearly as much significant value."

The bill does not address what happens to the account if a child dies before turning 18.

Jews lost their lands from the Roman Empire (2,000 years ago).

Mexicans lost the Southwest from America (150 years ago).

The USA supports the "Right of Return" for Jews, even after 2,000 years.
The USA also gives Israel over $3 billion of annual financial support.

IF LOGIC PREVAILS, then that means Mexicans, too, have the "Right of Return" to the Southwest.

If Mexicans don't have that right,
then doesn't that mean Jews must also be called "illegals" in Israel?

If 2,000 years (for Jews) is the "statute of limitations",
then 150 years (Mexicans) ago is within that statute for a logical application of morality, right?

An Orange County newspaper article did a report on how many illegals are actually passport overstayers from Canada and Europe.
http://www.ocregister.com/ocregister/news/nationworld/article_1087193.php

Another showed how Canadians can illegally overstay and belend into the White population.

The Pro-Borders groups seem unconcerned when the illegal person is White and the border in question is Canada's 4,000-mile border.

How can we round up these overstayer illegals, deport them, and show eveyone that we are not targeting only Mexicans?

There are white Hispanics, black Hispanics, indian Hispanics, asian Hispanics, mulatto Hispanics, mestizo Hispanics, zambo Hispanics, etc.

White Hispanics hate all the other groups. Most Hispanics in the USA who entered legally are white Hispanics. Most of the illegals are indian, mestizo, mulatto, black or zambo Hispanics.

White Hispanics hate the other Hispanics even in their country of origin. That's why most legal Hispanics hate illegal Hispanics: they bring their racial hared from their countries.

I remember once in grade 10 history class, my teacher was talking to me about how immigrants are blamed sometimes. It's because when people who have been living in this country for a long time see other immigrants getting good jobs they get mad at immigrants. I wonder if any of you agree with this statement?

I m currently looking for a job. I m under F-1 visa. I've applied for my Opional Practical Training(OPT) and its good for one year. If i can get a job within 1 year, i will have to apply for the H-1 visa.
Now, i've seen many job descriptions saying they only want applicants who can work in the us WITHOUT SPONSORSHIP. Do they mean they are avoiding people like me?
Also, since i m on OPT, i practically need no sponsorship for this one year. Should i still go ahead and apply for those jobs?
