Especially in regards to new construction. Construction site are being broken into at an alarming rate. The thieves are stealing everything, heating units, air conditioners, appliances, skids of materials, electrical wire, bath tubs, sinks, power tools, and pretty much any thing of value.
So if any of you have an air conditioner mounted outside your home, you might seriously want to think about building some sort of cage around it, here in Chicago they are being stolen left and right. I know 5 of my neighbors who have had their ground-mounted AC units ripped off.
And not to mention the illegal aliens, stealing jobs, and under-cutting the U.S. worker. The construction industry has taken a big hit on many levels.

It has? I work at a hotel and we just had a LARGE group of construction workers stay with us out of 40-60 guys (depending on what was going on with the particular assignment) only 2 of them were Hispanic (born and raised in the U.S.) the other 38-58 where Caucasian.

Yeah, but according the pro illegals, illegal aliens don't work in construction jobs. They only work in the fields picking produce doing "jobs Americans won't do" so we don't have to pay $10 for a head of lettuce!! What a crock!!

I think it's funnier than h ell!!!
Construction work, that USED TO BE done by legal American citizens, was taken away and given to ILLEGAL alien CRIMINALS!!! I hope EVERY construction company that hired ILLEGALS, will GO BROKE!!!

I live in Arizona and I haven't noticed any changes in construction. It is amusing though that the thought it had got some people excited... glad my existence is not that lonely.

It really sucks when employers have to pay decent wages.....
It's about time that the value of the American laborer is recognized.
So all of you who are for slave labor...(illegals)......way toooo bad....'cause they do inferior work for inferior pay.
