This is a question based on information from Pat Buchanan's book, "State of Emergency", page 162. I believe the answer to that question is yes, and if Senators Kennedy and McCain pass the "Illegal Alien Amnesty" bill and Bush sign's it, this country will be doomed to becoming a multicultural, multiethnic, multilingual Tower of Babel.

I highly recommend Buchanan' s books "Death of the West," and "State of Emergency." You can go to Patrick Buchanan site - http://www.buchanan.org/ for more info on Pat's ideas.

I'm American (US) but my father is Argentine, so if I want, I can apply for my Argentine citizenship and be a dual US/Argentine Citizen. Apart from the novelty, I'm trying to find out if there are financial benefits to this. Would being an Argentine citizen benefit me if I decided to buy a property in Argentina? Would I be able to buy lower airfare? I know that the economy is pretty bad there and that there are some goverment policies that benefit citizens and not foreigners. Can anyone shed some light on this?

According to the 14th amendment ....
"The following persons born in the United States are explicitly citizens:

Children born to US citizens;
Children born to aliens who are lawfully inside the United States (resident or visitor), with the intention of amicably interacting with its people and obeying its laws. "

This means any child born to an illegal is not a citizen..because the parents are not here lawfully.

By completing H.S. they have assimilated into "American" society.
They have studied U.S. history and can be a functioning member of this country.
Most of these children were infants and toddlers when they entered this country, so as far as they are concerned this is their home country.

i'm a malaysian citizen and not holding any status in uk. my son was born in london 4 years ago. his father was born in malaysia but holding a british passport(british citizen),we're not married and seperate 2 years ago(no contact at all ever since).

my son have a british birth certificate, but not a british or malaysia citizen by birth(stateless).As a single mum,it is hard to obtain a birth certificate, passport from malaysia embassy in UK, i'd make a application 3 years ago, but nothing came out yet.

In malaysia immigration law, child born out of wedlock, outside of Malaysia, and to a Malaysian mother is not consider as a malaysia citizen.

if malaysia embassy decline the application, my son will become stateless, but on the other hand he will then entitled to apply for a british citizenship base on his status(5 years old and stateless).

When I answered a question yesterday on the treatment of asylum seekers and immigrants in Scotland, I was surprised to see that the majority of answers from others were intollerant and unsympathetic towards these people.

Do those who answer here actually condone the recent violence against asylum seekers in Glasgow, or perhaps even think it justified?

Before you answer, please read the following reports.

Shouldn't the whole policy be based on needs? Such as Women with kids must come before the males. Shouldn't people from war torn countries whom have been displaced with no place to call home be considered in more of a dire need than those from a war free country ?
