What a joke. Today in the Democtatic partys push for amnesty, with the Catholic Churchs backing, called amnesty, just feeling sorry for people. Why not just come out and say what they really mean ? For the Democtatic party, its a push for votes. For the Catholic Church, its a push for numbers, and good ole money. Feeling sorry for people is just a snow job.

Mexico has a streamlined immigration law, only some of which I will list here. Check it out for yourself if you don't believe me. Their law states:You must speak the language, visitors DO NOT have a voice in politics, visitors MAY NOT fly the flag of their country of origin, YOU MUST BE IN THE COUNTRY LEGALLY OR FACE IMMEDIATE DEPORTATION AND IMPRISONMENT, those helping illegal immigration are JAILED.
The list goes on. Basically it sounds like do as I say, not as I do? You decide.

All the time they only talk about the Hispanic immigrants that come to the USA to work. But no one mentions the hundreds of members of the Russian Mafia operating from New York alone and controlling the traffic of meth, x, pcp, heroin and other hard drugs.

Why?

Students in CA protested the immigration bill and hung a Mexican flag over top of an UPSIDE DOWN American Flag. What are you thoughts? How does this make you feel about people coming to America and DISrespecting us?

More specifically, when a white African becomes a US citizen, either by birth or other means, are they considered African Americans, or is there a pre-exsisting predudice that only people of color can use the term? Does anyone else see a conflict with labelling like this?

Colorado could let inmates work on farms Thu Mar 1, 2:21 PM ET

DENVER - Colorado is considering letting prison inmates work on private farms after farmers complained that an illegal-immigration crackdown has left them short-handed, officials said.

Two vegetable farmers told prison officials and lawmakers that they need five to 20 workers and will pay up to $9.60 an hour — more than they've paid migrant workers in the past — but can't find anyone to do the work.

The Pueblo Country farmers, Joe Pisciotta and Phil Prutch, said immigrant workers are afraid to come to Colorado because of its tougher immigrant laws passed last summer. Among other things, the laws require people receiving state and federal benefits to prove they are legal U.S. residents.

"They've just given up and gone to other states that don't have these new laws. They just don't want to deal with it," Pisciotta said.

The Corrections Department program would probably start in Pueblo County, operating under the prison industries division, which already trains and employs about 1,200 inmates, department Executive Director Ari Zavaras said.

"Depending on how well it works, we'll see where it will go," Zavaras said this week.

He said the program fits his and Gov. Bill Ritter's new emphasis on reducing recidivism. Under current growth estimates, prison construction will cost the state hundreds of millions of dollars over the next five years.

Colorado's prison industries system already has internal agricultural jobs including growing flowers, raising bees and cultivating wine grapes. Inmates also manufacture items ranging from furniture to plastic bags.

someone help me! I am a uk citizen & i got married to a US citizen last september. My plan was to move to the USA, but I have to wait untill I have my visa, which may take some time. Since september I have tried to visit the USA, but was denied entry, due to not having the correct visa, and they came to the conclusion, that I may have overstayed. Since then I saw my husband in Barcelona, in febuary. I am now pregnant. My husband wants to be with me during my pregancy and birth, but we are both worried, he will be denied entry to the UK for the same reason as me (no visa) Plus I can not work for health reasons, so I currently DONT qualify to apply for a visa for him. He does hold a US passport, but when he applied he did state he was married to a UK citizen. If he is denied entry because of this, does he have the legal right to visit his child, and be here. He does not wannt to ,move here, nor does he intend to come here to recieve benifits. He just wants to support me. I live in london
