I would like to know that steps to obtain a police certificate?

i migrated to canada. it depends. in canada our out of canada. if in you can get the info before you leave. contact the police who can tell you the state agency that has all the info. ask them about doing fingerpritns also needed with the app.

if outside app the info on how to get the info is in the application. read the application. HINT you must send them to the FBI back east.

You can get that from your local police precinct. They're looking to make sure you're not a convicted felon or someone with a slew of warrants.
