I agree with you . The Democratic Party has forgotten that they used to be the party of the people, the American people. Now they are the party of the illegal aliens and are contributing to the De-Americanization of this country.
The Catholic Church is interested in growing ever stronger and even more wealthy .Just as are many churches in organized religion. I don't wish to offend any one but ,I'm simply answering the question with my views.
The Democratic Party doesn't give a damn about this country any more nor do the Republicans. It seems as maybe another
"Tea Party" may be necessary...
And yes it does affect me negatively . I live in Arizona and I for one am tired of paying higher taxes to support the influx of illegal aliens in to my city, my state and my country. And my home was built by legal Americans that work for a legal company that does not hire any illegal aliens. I don't mind paying more for contractors etc. I support American workers of all colors and nationalities. I don't support illegal aliens from any where. If you cant see that this is a national problem then you are blind to the real world.
GWB has lost all grip on the reality of the real people of the USA. Its time to focus on this nation and all its legal citizens .Let other country's take care of their own people.
There is a huge difference between legal immigrants and illegal aliens. Read the real history about the First Americans..They also migrated here from other continents.
Stop living in the past, this is 2007. .

It is all BS. there are hundreds of millions of people on this earth that are far worse off than our neighbors to the south. Why isn't the catholic church over there?
The catholic church is extremely wealthy. Why don't they take some money out of their collection plate to help? Why don't they lobby the government of Mexico to improve conditions there?
The dems are easy to figure out. They want voters they can feed a load of crap to and convince them it is steak

I assume you mean amnesty in the area of immigration.
Created in the image of the one God and equally endowed with rational souls, all men have the same nature and the same origin. Redeemed by the sacrifice of Christ, all are called to participate in the same divine beatitude: all therefore enjoy an equal dignity.
The Catholic Church supports human rights and humane immigration law, not crime.
You shall not oppress an alien; you well know how it feels to be an alien, since you were once aliens yourselves in the land of Egypt. (Exodus 23:9)
The émigré Holy Family of Nazareth, fleeing into Egypt, is the archetype of every refugee family. Jesus, Mary and Joseph, living in exile in Egypt to escape the fury of an evil king, are, for all times and all places, the models and protectors of every migrant, alien and refugee of whatever kind who, whether compelled by fear of persecution or by want, is forced to leave his native land, his beloved parents and relatives, his close friends, and to seek a foreign soil. (Exsul Familia, Pope Pius XII, 1952)
"Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, The wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door!" (The Statue of Liberty)
The earth, this country, everything we have are gifts from God, which we are called to share with our brothers and sisters in Christ.
With love in Christ.

AMEN. I am Catholic, and believe that the Church is sticking it's nose where it does not belong. If you are here illegally, and this is for anyone not just the Hispanic population, you should be deported back to your country of origin WHATEVER country that is. The reason this focus is on the Hispanic pop. is they are the loudest voices. They are lucky they even have a voice. In Mexico foreign visitors are FORBIDDEN to speak out about politics. Maybe we should adopt their laws.

True story. Numbers and money make up the U.S. today and unfortunately, illegal immigration boosts numbers (but unlike most people think, not money).

If you are referring for Amnesty for illegal aliens, then I suspect, being Catholic myself, they are hoping to maintain their role in the Hispanic community, where the evangelicals are making serious inroads. As a Democrat, I'd say the DEMS are doing the same thing in order to build a future constituency.

Boy oh boy. Dammed if you do, dammed if you don't. President Bush came up with the amnesty plan, received support from the democratic controlled congress, and still, all this crying.
Are you with your President or not?

What does it matter? Does it really affect you negatively? After all who built your house? Mows your lawn? Works all of the jobs no one else wants? The government knows where the immigrants are they would just lose to many workers to keep things floating if they deported them. We're all immigrants unless you're native American what's it going to hurt if we add some more?
