I am a Liberal Democrat...White, Anglo Saxon, American of French English descent. I have lived in Texas for 61 years. I was born here. About 5 years ago I began working in the construction industry . I live on a property owned by a dear friend. It is about 70% occupied by Hispanics. There was a problem with their parking their cars and blocking the driveway. I speak some Spanish, so I said to one of them, "No pone aqui, por favor." He yelled at me, "You don't speak our Spanish. You are white trash and you can't tell us what to do." I called the police so that I could gain entry to the parking lot, and called my friend, the landlord. They were forced to move their cars, and now they have been forced to move out. However it caused me to think about the mentality behind such a response. I went to the website, http://www.sq.4mg.com/NationIQ.htm. and found out the IQ's of a large number of nations on our planet. Do you agree with me that this may be part of the immigration problem?

I read a couple little paragraphs over the past few days about Gypsy communities and Illegal Imigrants, and it got me thinking about what the status of a person would be if they were born in the USA, but never got put on the public record, or got a birth certificate.

Would such a person have to go through immigration, children's services, or what? Could a person get deported?

Why does it seem to be easier for illegals to get fake id's than to get green cards for employment and migrate here LEGALLY? What should be done to make fake id's easier for employers to spot so they can reject illegal immigrants with fake id's? Do you think fines or jail time would be more effective to discourage employers (corporate, proprietorships and partnerships) from hiring illegals?

I live here in Florida and they are coming here in droves because of the exchange rate, that and their country has more Pakistinians than Pakistan itself, then they get over here and tell us what is wrong with the US, how British Special forces are better than US troops, Football(soccer) is superior to our American Football, how our immigration system screws them over etc. etc. Anybody else feel like telling them to G.T.F.O?

Several Hispanic organizations are gathering steam to speak out against illegal immigration and I'd like to hear from them.

As an example, Rosanna Pulido represents "You Don't Speak For Me" in Chicago and has been inundated with support of citizens (who happen to be of Hispanic descent and speak both English and Spanish) in agreement with the cause.

FYI, I'm fully in favor of LEGAL immigration, provided immigrants learn English, pledge allegiance to no other nation but the U.S., believe in education over labor, resist gang affiliations, etc.

We are a nation of immigrants. Period. But there must be a system of law and accounting.

This is a question for anyone (particularly NY residents) who has sent off their application package for a green card thru marriage to a US citizen.
Once you sent off the application, from sending off the initial forms and going through the interview process and everything how long did it take to recieve your green card?
Thanks

Did you know that the McCain_Kennedy II bill was partially drafted by La Raza? http://www.crosstabs.org/stories/immigration/mccain_kennedy_ii
The lobbyists involved in drafting McCain-Kennedy II, include the Essential Worker Immigration Coalition (EWIC), the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, American Civil Liberties Union, the National Immigration Law Center, the National Council of La Raza, and the Service Employees International Union.

Several illegals have been deported and their children left behind. So sad, but hey? Anyway, they were working in a sweat shop that made military uniforms. Owner said he hired illegals because he couldn't meet the demand. Amazing huh?

Good reason means not calling anyone a racist. Not being dumb and saying that we are all illegal immigrants. Lastly try to use some common sense.

SO my wife has her work permit and Green card, we had noticed early Jan that her Green card expired on the 15th, we sent all the paper work in to renew it and was quite parinoid cuz it was late. anyway 3 weeks later we get a letter from them saying that we didn't need to file and that its next year. So could this just have been a mistake on her card? Or is this common?

Should all immigrants be medically screened and only allowed access into our society, if they are free from infections? Aids, soaking up most of our funding under NHS?
