They just wrongly assume that everyone who crosses the border, legally OR illegally, is Mexican. I guess geography wasn't a strong subject for them & they can't tell that people from every other Latin American country have to go through Mexico to get here. For those who make that journey illegally, can you imagine the difficulty? The length of time it would take? The dangers to your life? Do you know of any AMERICAN who would make that kind of perilous journey just for the betterment of his/her family not knowing how or even IF he/she will be allowed into the country? Oh yeah, MY White ancestors came that way! Well, I certainly don't know any modern-day Americans who would do it! It's too easy to be lazy & sit & blame our problems on everyone else.

It´s due to ignorance and racial stereotyping. There were a bunch of Brazilians working at my former job and the boss used to call them "Mexicans" because he never even bothered to notice that they spoke Portuguese, not Spanish and they didn´t even look Mexican. A lot of people don´t really put much thought into what they´re saying half the time and don´t really worry whether or not they could be offending someone.

You are right about that. Illegal aliens do not deserve to be here in my opinion; however, I do not agree that all illegals are from Mexico or are in particular Mexican.
There are some from other South American countries like Venezuela, Ecuador, Nicaragua..etc. So those that are against illegals should find out exactly what South American countries illegals thrive from and be more PC.
I know that some illegals get offended when they are assumed to be from Mexico.. Irony and misunderstanding. Resolve on this issue is needed and should be more focused on listening to Americans then favoring illegals.

Most people on here are anti-illegals, not anti-Mexican illegals.
An illegal alien is NOT a race.
It is the pro-illegals that want people to believe Americans against illegals are racist.
If a certain race is paranoid because they are here illegally and face deportation, that's their problem. If they were legal, there's nothing to be paranoid about.
There are tens of millions of LEGAL immigrants here that are perfectly content living the American dream in the best country in the world without fear of la migra. And most of them oppose illegal aliens too!!

America got in the top list of "stupidest countries in the world" until Bush started the "No Child Left Behind Program" to fix this. Yeah, this may be a powerful nation now, but with all the cancer of ignorance that's spreading throughout the nation we will soon fall as a country.

looking at your husband i would assume that he is Mexican just because mine is. I have not seen you post that he is from Honduras, but Honduras and Mexico are closer than you think. People here are on a Mexico-trip, they assume that all illegals are Mexican and thats easier for their tiny minds to comprehend. Dont take it personally. Sadly your man will probably always get confused with Mexican people just because there are so few Hondurenos here.

You are asking the nearly impossible. The other day someone asked how to immigrate from the US to Puerto Rico... most racists are undereducated, check the statistics.

The only thing which drives me are the illegals who are breaking the law.
If you are both legal...great...if not, stop with the racist rhetoric and go home.
