What do you Americans think of the immigrants of every species?

Do you think they should stay in their countries? And do you think the ones that are here should get out,and go back to where they came from?Why?

Give me your tired , your poor. Our country is huge, we can take in others. But I think they should bother to speak English. It is awkward sometimes, being places where there are other languages being spoken, but Britain has a lot of foreign immigrants and they don't have the room that we have.This is referred to as a free country. If immigrants commit crimes, they should go home, but if they want to work and build a life and be safe, I think we have to absorb some of them. Look at what they
are living with in some of these countries and see what we all have available to us just because we are here.

I assume by "species" you mean race or country. Odd term!

LEGAL immigrants are a benefit to America. ILLEGAL ALIENS are a drain on our country. They are bankrupting California. They bring disease because they weren't immunized like the American kids. They are destroying our education and health care systems. They steal jobs and identities. They are breaking the law!

ILLEGAL aliens should go back to their home countries YESTERDAY! This has NOTHING to do with race. This is a legal matter!!!!

I could see amnesty in certain, specific conditions, for instance, proof of paying U.S. taxes for 5 years. Some illegal aliens do actually pay U.S. taxes. (See the first link below for info on resident alien taxation.) Sadly, it is easier to obtain credit as a foreigner in the U.S. than it is to become legal. I think all immigrants from every nation should be LEGAL immigrants, or return to their countries. We do not have room in the jails to jail all the illegals who got jobs with fake ids or obtained benefits under false pretenses, but they should be forced to pay back any benefits fraudulently obtained.

And I think the process to become legal should be simpler, not require a legal expert to process all the paperwork or dupe people into hiring companies that run immigration scams. (If you don't think these companies exist, check out the second link below.)
Sometimes people from other countries have better work ethic than those in our own country, and are willing to take minimum wage work when those born in this country feel "above" certain jobs. For this reason, the process should be made simpler for seasonal employers and food service employers (especially fast food) to hire newcomers to the country in areas where the unemployment rate is low.

After all, we are all the same species: homo sapiens. We are all people, regardless of the nation of origin.

For your information, immigrants belong to the human species just like you. When you talk about immigrants specify legal or illegal. Illegals must go back to their countries. Educate yourself before you post a question that offends immigrants.

First they should stay in their home countrys, if things are so bad, the first thought should be to stay and try to make things better, it will be in time a better place, for them and their familiys. But if this can not be done, they should find a country to move to, but do it legally, remembering to respect that country and its laws. Lastly, the illegal aliens here in the U. S. A., need to go, that is the fine for being here illegally, its called deportation.

I understand that there are people in real crisis in their country and that their agenda is to take refuge from turmoil, however they must be willing to do it the legal way and they must also be forced to use the American English language. I think that the floodgates from Mexico should be closed because they have a different agenda. This will allow more room for those who truly deserve the safety of our country.

I welcome legal immigrants. I think they are what has made this country great. It is the illegal immigrates that have hurt our country and do not contribute to the bettering of it. It is the illegal immigrants who come here and do not assimilate and learn our language. It is the illegal immigrants who have moved into our cities and have turned them in to dirty gang ridden places and are killing innocent people.

Like I said I WELCOME legal immigrants but the illegals need to be rounded up and sent home.

I'm not trying to be mean or anything but if we let just anyone in the U.S, where are we going to put them...? Most other countries do not have protective sex which means they get all kinds of std's and have way to many kids. our country is in debt already and can't afford to help our own people. but the U.S. spends more money than I care to know about to help other countries. While we have homeless folks everywhere. We have elderly in homes with no heat and ac some with no electic. Because they don't qualify for finacial aid but their doctor and pharmacy bills are so high they can't afford anything else.

If others wanted to come here they should have enough english language skills to talk so we can understand them.. They should agree to have a limited amount of children. If they have more than the limited amount they should pay the government instead of the government paying them welfare. Oh, wait my tax money pays them welfare. Humm.. They should contribute to the communities they live in.

That goes for even the U.S. citizens. I think welfare if to easy to get with lies. I think welfare for someone younger than 65 should be limited to 6 months before they have to get a job or loose the money. I think if they get pregnant while on welfare then they should be taken off.
As it stands now someone can get pregnant and get on welfare to pay for it and if they aquire insurance before the baby is born welfare still takes care of it anyway just because they are on the books already.. BULL SH*T!!!!!!!
I've heard lots of people talking about if they qualify for welfare they will try to have a baby but if they don't then they will wait until they do. What is up with that. Why can't people wait until they can afford to have their own kids with their own money.. NOT MINE!!!!!
As it stands now when we get old enough to collect the Social Security we paid in so that we could have something to live on when we get old, it will be all gone because of all the people that took it without deserving it. That includes all illegals and legals from other countries and U.S. citizens.
Our schools are over crouded and our kids are not being taught well enough because the teachers can't handle all those kids.
There's a first grade kid that can't speak english and the teacher can't speak spanish. A first another first grader has to stop her learning to tell the spanish girl what is going on. WHAT IS UP WITH THAT.... ? If the moms and dads of the foreign kids could speak english they could teach their kids english instead of their other language if they want to live here.
HAVE RESPECT FOR US.
WE DON'T GO TO OTHER COUNTRIES UN PREPARED. We learn the language before we go so we can communicate. Maybe not if we are just vacationing but if we have to move there we will know what we need to know.

What makes me the sickest of all this is that we have people that really really really really deserve to live in America as free as they want to be and to do whatever they want and they are not allowed to live beyond the borders of their selected land that the government gave them. That is the American Indians.
You don't find them causing problems for the U.S. and they have more right to do that than anyone. They've been here for a lot longer than anyone else and have very little rights. I realize they do have some benifits for educations and a few other things but you don't see them causing havic about what they can't have.
