First off, im american and my fiance is english. I tryed talking to people that could best give me answers to this but they seem to talk to terminology that makes it more confusing. Do i need some kind of resideancy to get married in europe to my fiance and does that make me a resident afterwords or do i still have to be deported back to the united states and go through a very long process of a few years so we can live together? Greatly appreciated if someone with firsthand knowledge could let me know.

I've read that we should look at illegals as victims. I'm sorry, after my experiences, I honestly can't. In the four (yes, 4) times my car was hit (twice while parked in front of my house, once I was rear ended at a stoplight, and once I was t-boned by a woman speeding down an alley), NONE of the people had insurance, and only 2 had licenses. Miraculously, they "forgot" how to speak english once the police got on the scene. So, 4 seperate times, I'm stuck paying my deductible with no way of getting it back from these folks. Meanwhile, due to people like this, everyone who abides by the law by carrying insurance has to deal with premiums that creep up, through no fault of their own. Anyone had a similar situation? Understand where I'm coming from?

I have been here since January 2006 so 1 year untill now. I am a LEGAL alien and have my F1 VISA meaning my student VISA. Now I am pregnant the dad is American and now I was wondering, if I get my baby here is that going to change my VISA??? Can i apply for a work VISA or can I get some VISA that is not tied to studying. Or could I get a green card because my baby is going to be an American citizen??? Marrying the father of my baby is not an option here. And I did not plan this pregnancy. If you could help me it would be really appreciated... Like I said I am LEGAL OK!!!

Wasn't it less than a month ago that everyone pointed at the waiting lines to get a job at Swift? Look now, "Greeley, Swift placed newspaper ads offering new hires a signing bonus of $1,500."

What are you going to say now? Americans will do the job at a reasonable wage. No, they won't. They would rather work at Wal-Mart and make $7.25.

"The starting hourly wage is $11.75, topping out at $13.35, a union representative said."

It has been raised a few quarters since then.

So, who is going apply?

The ones that are guilty of breaking our laws are as guilty as other legal citizens who break our laws. Nowhere in our Constitution does it categorize different exceptions to ignoring the laws that we choose to ignore.
So many excuses to allow those who are guilty to live on in the U.S., without regard for their criminal acts. What's next — if you can escape from other criminal acts for a period of time, you will be forgiven for your past?
The solution is simple — enforce the laws of this country as they are intended today. The people who chose to ignore the law have no say in their punishment. They have no rights to any services paid for by the legal citizens of this country. They are fugitives in our country, and should be treated as such.

I have a J1 Visa sticker on my greek Passport. Unfortunatelly it has expired. The tricky part is that I have also Cypriot passport valid (not expired) but without visa sticker on it. Does anyone know if I can use both passports to travel between USA and Canada (enter Canada and return to US). Canada does not need visa either for Greece or Cyprus. When I come back from Canada however can I show the VISA with the expired Greek passport and use the valid Cypriot passport to enter?

The rich & big business get 20 million new customers, 20 million new renters/potential real estate buyers, 20 million cheap workers. We get expensive rent, unaffordable land prices for us & our children & low wages. Even if they up the minimum wage, its a bargain for big business & the rich, because overall, the wages are depressed if amnesty is given to 20 million illegal aliens. Also, our nation then gets more divided, and a nation divided ....

“We are seeing an alarming number of illegal aliens with criminal records for everything from homicides to rapes of children as young as three years of age,” states former NYPD Detective Sid Francis, who investigated sex crimes in New York City.
“The illegal immigration problem is allowing hundreds of thousands of criminal aliens to invade our nation and kill, maim, rob and abuse our citizens, ” warns the one of the vice presidents of the 14,000-member National Association of Chiefs of Police. Research revealed that in one 9-month period the federal government arrested over 100,000 criminal aliens. These arrests do not include arrests made by state and local law enforcement.
Det. Francis studied arrest reports involving criminal aliens who committed child sex crimes including Julio Cesar Rabago-Magana, a Mexican man who sexually assaulted a four-year-old child in a basement in Minneapolis, Minn. Rabago-Magana pleaded guilty to first-degree criminal sexual conduct. After serving his criminal sentence, he was arrested by Immigration agents at his St. Paul home and deported six days later.
Are these the people in search of a better life ?

Space Aliens have landed and as a good-will gesture the U.S. Government has offered to give them an entire state as their 'home away from home'. Which state should it be, and why?

You can pick any state except Hawaii, the New England States, Alaska or Rhode Island. And of course, DC is out.

(Don't worry about the present residents of the state. They'll get a sweetheart deal and be happy to move. :)

However, if I do find a perm job will they refuse me a new visa for this job? I'm am wondering if they will say no because I am not supposed to be seeking work to begin with (if that makes any sense!?). Also if I can get the new visa for the perm job, do I have to leave the USA on the expiry date on my current J1 visa? Do I have to leave the USA for a certain time period?

Why go building this whole costly fence?

We might be trying to get a marriage visa for me to go to the USA and see if we get along together; we'd have just three months to get married, if by that time we're ready to do so, we will, if not I'll come back to my country.

The question is: Would my boyfriend have troubles with his government if we do not actually get married? Like, if he wanted to apply for a marriage visa in the future, would he have problems? Any other issues?

Thank you.

Those who want to oust the illegal Mexican immigrants from American soil, say "They're breaking the law. They're hurting the economy. They're using resources they aren't entitled to use!"

But very often I see comments like, "We should shoot them on sight!" or "They're filthy criminals" or "They live twenty to an apartment and they all stink!"

So, to what extent is a hunger for justice driving this, and to what extent is racism driving this?
