Actually yes. Crossing the border into Mexico without the proper papers will get you incarcerated. Them Mexicans know how to handle criminals! But this is a fantasy, albeit a good fantasy.

Are you for real, just wondering? Of course, a Mexican even illegally in the USA can go back to Mexico anytime he wants to and he would not be entering Mexico illegally - he is a legal citizen of Mexico. You must be really young, right?

Depends on Mexico's immigration policy, if they even have one. Not like the grass on that side of the fence is any greener (I'm scratching my head here trying to figure out who, outside of bail-skippers and convicted felons, would actually go through this process to live in Mexico, of all places . . .)
If you're looking for a contrast to America's immigration system, the best thing to do is invest in a good collegiate History book. Most will list the bills and acts involving the immigration process, and some will even give reasoning as to why they were set in place.

Anybody can cross into Mexico, even without papers or passports, like at a border town, you can enter Mexico freely , but if you want to travel further like 25 miles or to the interior, then you do need a passport, but for Mexican's you need nothing to travel in Mexico.

Hee heee ! That would be an amusing sight to behold. Back to your question, illegal means you are doing something against the law. The law requires you to enter and exit a country using only the gazetted and official points. So to give answer to your querry, that mexican would probably conflict with the law.
However, even the Immigration officer could easily fall with laughter and surprise at this before they remembered to apprehend this guy. :-)

Plenty of Mexican Criminals (legal and illegal) do it all the time if they’re wanted by U.S. law. See:

@ Brendon G, Mexico actually has very strict immigration laws especially on Central American Indians that crosses their southern border. Similar Laws that the Mexican government and Chinano Mexican American groups are trying to convince the US to get rid of.
