Wasn't it less than a month ago that everyone pointed at the waiting lines to get a job at Swift? Look now, "Greeley, Swift placed newspaper ads offering new hires a signing bonus of $1,500."
What are you going to say now? Americans will do the job at a reasonable wage. No, they won't. They would rather work at Wal-Mart and make $7.25.

"The starting hourly wage is $11.75, topping out at $13.35, a union representative said."

It has been raised a few quarters since then.
So, who is going apply?

Again, you don't know what you are talking about. I am from Denver, Colorado. I piss on my friends cows when I visit him in Greeley. He told me pissing on them makes steaks taste better.
If the meat packing plant was so full of potential employees, why are they offering bonuses? Where are all the employees less than three weeks later? Did they find out they just couldn't cut it?
Here is the real point, the meat packing business like any other business evolved and employees were paid to do a repeatable and simple motion. You must be day dreaming if you want $20 an hour for that.
You want companies to feel sorry for you. Yeah, blame capitalism. ******* communists.
