Wasn't it less than a month ago that everyone pointed at the waiting lines to get a job at Swift? Look now, "Greeley, Swift placed newspaper ads offering new hires a signing bonus of $1,500."

What are you going to say now? Americans will do the job at a reasonable wage. No, they won't. They would rather work at Wal-Mart and make $7.25.

"The starting hourly wage is $11.75, topping out at $13.35, a union representative said."

It has been raised a few quarters since then.

So, who is going apply?

Again, you don't know what you are talking about. I am from Denver, Colorado. I piss on my friends cows when I visit him in Greeley. He told me pissing on them makes steaks taste better.

If the meat packing plant was so full of potential employees, why are they offering bonuses? Where are all the employees less than three weeks later? Did they find out they just couldn't cut it?

Here is the real point, the meat packing business like any other business evolved and employees were paid to do a repeatable and simple motion. You must be day dreaming if you want $20 an hour for that.

You want companies to feel sorry for you. Yeah, blame capitalism. ******* communists.

Again you don't know what you're talking about. There were people lined up out the door for those jobs the day after the raid occurred. Do you know where Greeley is? Do you know what the jobs are like in northern Colorado? Anything over $10 an hour is considered good in those parts. The real point to be made is that Swift is being sued by former employees for hiring illegals who worked for less and took their jobs.
The argument that illegals are doing jobs Americans won't do is ridiculous. Americans would like their old jobs back. Illegals are whores who allow themselves to be exploited at the detriment of hard working U.S. families and then they have the gall to complain about it. Illegals only help CEOs, not America. Get it right buddy!

Swift and other "Sell Out" Companies FIRED AMERICANS THAT WERE DOING THE JOB AND REPLACED THEM WITH ILLEGAL ALIENS FOR FAR LOWER WAGES AND BENEFITS. THEY PUT AMERICANS AT RISK thoruogh Identity Theft and Fraud. i hope there are More IRS and INS RAIDS! I hope EEOC sues the daylights out of them for firing legitimate employees.

RIGHT TO WORK STATES THE MAIN CULPRITS!

The same identical thing has happened in the Unions with Food Service, Hospitality, AUTO WORKERS, STEEL WORKERS, Electricians, Plumbers and High Tech Computer jobs! Wait until H1-B goes through Congress and increases the cap on more Illegal aliens, giving them AMNESTY FOR THEIR CRIMES! Your job could be next, if you have one.

that is good damn pay. if i lived there i would jump on it. but to the people who live there maybe taking into consideration the cost of living. americans don't put 10 to 15 people in a 2 or 3 bedroom house and share bills. americans like their space and peace. but i would still jump on that job. where i live we get $5.50 an hour. that is starting pay.

Dreaming for $20, isn't that THE American dream? Easy job, high pay? I love how so many "Americans" respond with such distaste for the illegals, yet you DON'T see them lining up for these jobs. But, they still reserve the right to b**** about it when someone points out that they don't have that job and they would have LOVED to have had the job.

Stupid Americans.

Your links aren't working. They could be all filled by now. Job ads stay in for a few weeks. I remember calling for a job in the paper and being told it had been filled already.

Links aren't working. I am very interested to read the articles.

Many people refuse to admit that there are some jobs that Americans are not willing to do. A guest worker program would really help these type of situations.

Does flatline have a link?
