I know I am wasting five points but I am just curious. Where is that thing on last week that called herself the concerned American? The one with a pic of her in a bathing suit and she looked about 500 pounds.

"Today marks the 219th anniversary of the completion of the U.S. Constitution. As historian Paul Johnson notes in his book, “A History of the American People,” “The (Constitutional) Convention met in Philadelphia again and sat for four months, breaking up on Sept. 17, 1787, its work triumphantly done.”

To commemorate this document, National Constitution Week begins today and runs through Sept. 23. Today, also marks the second Constitution Day. In 2004, President George W. Bush signed a bill designating every Sept. 17 as Constitution Day.

I have a problem seeing the benefit of illegals and legals alike. I am not being racist...I am being practicle. The following explains why I do not agree with illegal immigration, however, legals do not seem to have a defnese either. They can come here and start collecting social security and welfare almost instantaniously. I'm lucky if I will be able to get social security when I am old and grey!Their properties seem to be no cleaner than illegals....they are still in the news papers for murders, drugs and welfare fraud on a regular basis. So what is the difference? If any one else has some statistical information regarding how much money legal immigrants suck up...please let me know.

I was just thinking that Mexicans working under the table must be more common than I thought when you can just go out and meet people here and there that are working under the table. What do people think about this?

I am an Univ's student from Asia and feeling to be discriminated as yellow everyday. Why most of white people and black do not like us? Because of agry looking? yellow skin? behavior?
Sometimes I notice that people are looking at me as they are looking at trush back or something.

In asian culture, we treat foreigners very nicely but most Americans treat white people and black nicely but asian and hispanic.(mostly white Americans)

I do not think this is right and not good thing.
I'd like to know why they dont like Asians so badly and what makes them annoying. Also how can I be liked by htem as foreigner from Asia.

I asked why do people automatically assume all illegals are Latino, and someone told me I was pro-illegal and a hypocrite. How lovely.
I happen to be half Hispanic, so maybe it does piss me off just a little bit when people say that the only illegals in the country are Latino, or that all the Latinos in America are illegal (I have heard it said before) So pardon me if I get a little miffed by that. I am in no way "pro-illegal" but I try to see the story from both sides of the track.

Why do I have to apoligize for being born in America and for being white? I have been to a few immigration rallies for photography. i speak Spanish fluently and I would overhear all this racism towards me. All I was doing was taking pictures...they didn't even know I was anti-illegal. I know that these rallies don't represent any majority of any ethnic group... but these people in these marches are a complete pile of cr...p truth

WASHINGTON President Bush plans to ask Congress to fund a system that verifies whether job applicants are legally eligible to work in the United States.

The Associated Press has learned Bush will seek more than 130 (m) million for the plan. He also wants 365 staff positions to operate the nationwide Employment Eligibility Verification system.

A government source told the AP of the plan on condition of anonymity because the president's budget has not been officially released.

Bush is scheduled to send his 2007 budget proposal to Congress on Monday.

Trust me, there are plenty of illegals in this country, and not all of them crawled over the border. Some came on planes with fake student visas, and then just seemed to disappear into the system, undetected.

Apparently no country will take him except two that want to try him for involvement of blowing up an airline (and which we think use torture) so he is supposed to be set free in the US. We caught him entering illegally from Mexico in May, 2005.

C'mon. Bush is telling us loudly that torture doesn't count if it is against terrorists, anyhow, and we don't really KNOW this guy would be tortured by Cuba and Venezuala, and who in their right mind would want him loose on the streets of the US?

Even our government has previously said he is too dangerous to release.

OK, I'm against torture, and I support Colin Powell's attempts to remind Bush that torture is a bad thing. But I think letting this guy loose in the US is a bad thing, and if Venezuala and Cuba want him, terrific.

Am I being terribly callous here?
