Where do they get their information? One of the worst school systems in the world or from the 100+ channels of bull*** on TV?

The fact that 97% of all media in this country is owned by 5 conglomerates, which are in turn owned by radically active members of the RNC means that the official line (if it's Republican) gets shoved down everyone's throats and sold as news. Ever notice that Clinton's lie about a BJ was plastered all over the news constantly for a year, while no major news network has ever called Bush on any of his multitude of outright lies (many of which have caused the deaths of many people, here and abroad, and many more having caused the rapid decline in our economy, massive increase of both debt and deficit, and many other problems in this country)? The New York Times (which the cons like to say is the "liberal rag") held onto the story of Abu Ghraib for over a year until the pictures started floating around the internet!
The constant erosion of the education system in this country by the "conservatives" is done to produce a country of ignorant sheep that are easy to brainwash. Once, the US had the best education system in the world, but then under Reagan and Bush I, we dropped to #14, and under this son of a bush we have dropped to #47. During the second term of Clinton's administration, we rose to #8.
Both of these, as well as the extreme nationalism (agree with the Republicans or you are a traitor) wespoused by this administration lend to the brainwashing and ignorance of the American public.
By the way, ever notice how many people say "if you don't like it, get out"? And yet they say that they want democracy! Democracy means that if you don't like what you see, you can work together with others that see things the way you do to make changes to better your country! It is obvious that conservatives perfer Fascist Dictatorship to Democracy! And don't forget that Democracy is a LEFT-WING ideal! Fascism is RIGHT WING.

Americans didn't learn in school that they have to work too, to protect this Constitution. Americans are SPOILED but not Rich. Thank goodness the Mexican citizens in Mexico today are showing Americans that they can take their country back from the wealthy who steal elections!
Wealthy landowners began destroying our Constitution because they hated the idea that wealth and liberty should be shared. They trashed the Constitution and made a plan to take everything
but first they had to Brainwash America.
So through the centuries Americans had to work hard to live, but make sure you give them lots to eat (so they would get fat and lazy) give them bad television, have a credit card and a home (and car). Now work them like slaves to pay bills worry that they will lose their Corporation jobs (owned by those landowner families) and worry eat and get fat - they will forget about protecting the Constitution.
American Parents are so stressed over jobs that they're too busy for their kids, the school system fell to pieces (which parents really have to protect like the Constitution).
The problem with immigrants is that they make so much money here so they don't care about the Constitution either. This is a different America that has been beaten down by the wealthy. Americans vote for Destroyers because they are white and look attractive and make them feel better than everyone else when they are not. (And guess what, the candidates are wealthy!;(
It's a shame but we can hope that Americans will realize what's happening and take their political parties back--like the Mexicans are doing.

You have too been brain-washed by the attitude you show. Yes, there are things promoted by both the media and the government but where is your individuality showing in your question? You are simply repeating others too. Is that brain-washing? The main problem is that people fail to take time to look into the heart of matters and come to a rational decision.

Where did you get your information? You are a citizen of what country? Any time you dont like the way things are here in MY country, Hike your butt to where ever you feel the most comfortable, or quit yer bit ching and make a positive difference.

When I lived in Miami I walked into my daughter's first grade class room and the teacher was speaking Spanish. I spoke to the principal about getting my daughter into an English speaking class. I was told the class could not be separated because it was discrimination to the non English speaking students.
The big picture in the US is illegal immigrant's rights supercede the rights's of the taxpayers. This is why immigration has become such a big issue.
The big question here is where do you get your information?

Better those than from foreign countries and our enemies. Americans may not be the smartest people in the world because they never work together. There always are dissenters but they eventually accomplish what ever needs to be accomplished. Comprendo?

We aren't. First off we have a choice of what we watch or not to watch on TV. Plus we know that it is TV and should be taken with a grain of salt. Second if we don't like the school we have a choice of private schools or home schooling or moving to another district. I call that choice not brain washing.

Allow what to be brainwashed? "Brainwashing", by the way, was an invention of the Chinese and RNK during the Korean War. Possibly we could have you brainwashed to approach literacy, but I doubt it.

they think the news on television is truthful,because journalists have to report true stories to give helpful information. also,they listen to their friends who are ignorant(just in case you don't know,it means they don't know what they are talking about, just think they do). Americans have smart and stupid people and they keep forgetting we all have different backgrounds so we are not true Americans,the Native Americans are. don't mention that you'll start a big argument, so tell them they need to go directly to the source(you)and stop believing what's in their head.
