At least every 3rd or 4th question on this board seeks to impress on our psyches the incredibly huge economic deficit that will be created if the US were liberated from the illegal menace.

Are there any actual numbers to back this up? I see study after study regarding the economic burden created by allowing illegals to stay, and I have yet to see one backing up the statements that the US economy will bellyflop without said tidal wave.

One study. That's all I'm looking for. Preferably not from the office of Senator Kennedy or McCain, or from La Raza or Mecha.

One credible study. Please. Put your money where your mouth is.

So, with Mexico on the Southern Border, and Canada on the Northern border, the USA has a bit of a problem. There is a lot of border to watch. Yet it seems that the worst of the border problem is from the South. There does not seem to be a sudden exodus of disgruntled Canadians sweeping across the border, illegally, to escape...escape what? Mexico has some of our better jobs, thanks to NAFTA, but they don't seem to want them. (We will take them back, you know!) So, let's build a walkway for the Mexicans to go straight to Canada. Lots of open space, free medical, etc.

Why cant the illegal immigrants and the ones that just love them get it? In the 20's and 30's America used to employ children and women at slave wages. Thats when we had enough of big buisness and created laws and unions that forced employers to pay a decent wage so a man can support his family. Now the illegals have invaded our country and are willing to work for less than Americans will. Driving down our wages where Americans cant afford to support their families anymore. It was OK when they were doing farm work but now they are in our factories and construction buisnesses. CNN showed today that farmers in Forida cant even get immigrants for their fields anymore because they make more working for contractors and factories. If CNN knows it then the government knows it. Lock up the employers. And for all you that dont agree with me. Kiss my superior white you know what. You dont have a family to support or it would make you angry too.

This is what I was wandering. La Raza and Mecha and all their believers claim that there is a land called Aztlan that, supposedly, belongs to Latinos. They have plans to take it back, I would like to know what means they are going to use to "take back their land"? I mean, are they going to wage a full on war with the U.S.? Texas is the 9th economy of the world, thanks to mexicans, they do all the hard work, because we are to lazy for that.

75% of the poblation in california is latinoamerican and with out the mexicans you wont have food, only chemicals, you wont have fast food, in almost all the places with fast food survive thanks to mexicans.

Disneyland will go down because almost all disneyland products are from mexico.

Mexico is the second most important countrie for U.S.A.

I ask this because it seems like most aspects of Mexican culture are driven by contact with the US. Their economy, their foreign policy, their immigration policy seem to all be dependent on the US.

The structure, I didn't say effectiveness, of their government is a mirror image of the US government (although the British and US governments have been the models for almost all modern republics).

It's often said (not that I agree with it) that America's economy is dependent on Mexican labor and would collapse if deprived of said labor. Can the same not be said of Mexico? Wouldn't Mexico's economy fall apart if deprived from the monetary exports of the immigrants and the tourism income?

So, therein lies the discussion. Is Mexico truly a sovereign nation, or are they already the 51st state just waiting for the paperwork to make it legal?

Thank you for standing up for people who can't speak up for themselves. I can't wait until all I see is non-Hispanics working in the fields, roofing, construction, meat-packers, car wash, baby sitting, janitors, waiters, all the crappy jobs. Thank You again. On May 1, a million illegals (95% Mexican) took to the streets in protest because they were told to do so. Now in Mexico City, millions more are in the streets protesting because someone told them to. This is the inherent problem of Mexico - the people have no initiative to stand up and change their lives for the better. Here in the U.S. there are many examples of individuals or groups that saw injustice happening and got off their butts and did something, among them:

- Martin Luther King Jr.
- Cindy Sheehan (anti-war protester)
- The Guardian Angels
- The Minutemen
- The NAACP
- John Walsh (son murdered, now catches criminals)

..... and countless others too many to list. Mexicans obviously do not mind protesting, so they need to protest the corruption and poverty in their country and demand that the government stop squandering the wealth of resources that exist in Mexico.

if they get caught , they are turned into slaves , very simple solution , if they want to come to america that bad to do it illegaly they probably would like this idea . Room and board , definately job security and their own little apartment in the barn , probably 10 times better from where they came from and I would even let them drive my tractor
