I am about to go in to take my oath of alligience and receive my certificate of citizenship. However, my son who is 17 right now (but turning 18 in october) is currently holding a permanent residency card; he is not a citizen. My question is: Once i get my citizenship and passport, is it possible to get his US passport with me?
What are the restrictions? Does he need to submit a N600 form? Can he get his passport on the same day as me?
Thanks!

I am an Italian citizen and I married an American woman. We are happily married and we live in Italy.
The Italian law says that a non Italian have the right to have the Italian citizenship by marriage after 6 month of wedding if you live in Italy or after 3 years if you live outside Italy.
Is there a similar law also in the US?
May I apply for the American citizenship because I am married with an American woman even if we don't live in the USA?

The lawyer wants $1750.00. I have experience with government forms, but no experience with immigration matters. Additionally, I am seeking a waiver of the "meet in-person" requirement based on her society's cultural practices that would make us subject to violent ridicule. Also, her country is on the US travel warning list--Americans are strongly warned to avoid travel to her country. Ideally, some attorneys will take the time to answer. Thanks for your time.

I can't even buy a house, but lenders are letting these people buy houses with only a drivers license, and how do they even get a license. I am confused, these people are getting more of the "american dream" than legal americans.

People always come up with these doomsday scenarios about $10 lettuce and $5 tomatoes. First of all, a price increase is inevitable even with a guest worker program, because once these people come from out of the shadows they will be making at least minimum wage instead of the $30-40 a day they currently make (about $3 an hour). Secondly, the U.S. economy will survive. It was only 10 years ago that we were paying 99 cents for a gallon of regular gas, now $3 a gallon is "normal" and $4 a gallon is expected. I see that people are still taking family vacations and buying SUV's despite the gas increase. You also have to take into account innovation (which we U.S. citizens are good at). If there's a labor shortage, look for someone to create an "assembly line farm" which produces a maximum amount of product using minimal labor. Pro-illegals try and scare people into thinking there will be some sort of Attack of the Killer Tomatoes scenario. Pleeeeease. The U.S. economy will survive.

Imagine this....a wall of Americans, hand in hand, stretched from California to Florida. I don't know how to make it happen but someone out there does. I propose a protest of our own. Americans against all this illegal crap, standing together, hand in hand, stretched from sea to shining sea. We can make our own border for one day, send a huge message to the White House, to the illegals and to America. If we get lucky we could stretch all the way around the east coast and so on.
Would you be there? Would you stand with a fellow American, hold a hand and show these people that we are not going to take it anymore, that we are strong and united and intend to fight for our country? We the People, for the People!!!! We can BE the border!!!!!

No Illegal Immigrant Left Behind

In light of the struggles and challenges faced by illegal immigrants the President through the Department of Labor is announcing a new plan to empower illegal immigrants towards success in their new homeland. The Presidents initiative “No Illegal Immigrant Left Behind” will provide be an estimated 20,000,000 illegal immigrants everything they need to be successful in America and become millions of “points of light”. The “No Illegal Immigrant Left Behind” program will consist of the following.

•A system of immigration full of fraud and abuse that through its beaurocratic inefficiencies and incompetence allows millions of illegal immigrants to easily sneak into the United States. As an added bonus deserving immigrants with skills that could benefit the American economy and that follow the law will be buried in paperwork and denied legal entry for years.

•Once in the US illegal immigrants will easily be able to obtain false documents that allow them to work, enroll their children in school, own and transfer real and personal property, vote, receive public assistance and obtain discounted or free medical care.

•Incentives will be provided to employers to hire illegal immigrants. Employers will be allowed to ignore immigration laws, disregard employment verification checks, pay less than prevailing wages and provide absolutely no benefits to illegal immigrants.

•Children of illegal immigrants will be provided free k12 educations and cannot be held back or required to learn English. College tuition will be the in state rate and tuition assistance programs must be made available to them.

•Illegal Immigrants will not be required to pay taxes as many employers prefer to pay wages “under the table” and “in cash.” Additionally “out of country” tax free transfers of money can be sent home as often as you like without government interference. Note: This privilege is specifically not available to US citizens as it is considered tax evasion or money laundering.

•Illegal immigrants will not be required to register for the selective service (draft) system as American citizens are required to do.

These and many other benefits await you in America. Vienen los amigos a América

I am tired of hearing this crap, were the hell do people get this from, they are so many latino from diferent place.

Mexicans are from Mexico
colombians are from Colombia
puerto ricans are from Puerto Rico
cubans are from Cuba
and ext...

Puerto Ricans are NOT illegals so when you are talking about latinos being illegal.
you are saying we are too, which we are NOT.. so it is not fair for us people from PR
to be included in this illegal thing. now sudenly every latino is from Mexico..What?
Do they teach history in school? These teachers are a rip-off. I don't care if you call me latina
but don't call me illegal or Mexican (No offense to those) but the reality is we are not from Mexico.
