I am about to go in to take my oath of alligience and receive my certificate of citizenship. However, my son who is 17 right now (but turning 18 in october) is currently holding a permanent residency card; he is not a citizen. My question is: Once i get my citizenship and passport, is it possible to get his US passport with me?
What are the restrictions? Does he need to submit a N600 form? Can he get his passport on the same day as me?
Thanks!

So, as long as I have my certificate of citizenship; i can apply for a passport together with my son? We can do our applications at the same time and everything? We will also receive our passports at the same time even using the expediated service?

This issue is far too important to ask strangers who probably don't know the correct answers but will be happy to say whatever comes to mind, accurate or - more likely - completely screwball like the one directly about this one.

Here is the complete guide to naturalization. If you haven't studied it before, please do so now to make sure you aren't missing something very important.

I'm not really sure, but I think if your son is a minor and you are a citizen, he can apply for citizenship and be granted it without too much hassle. Once he has citizenship, getting a passport is very easy.

Congratulations on your citizenship!

Good luck.
