If you don't think that illegals can sue a business here, they can....I knew of an illegal who came here and while she was in pursuit from the border patrol, her Ford SUV flipped over and she sustained horrible injuries, she became a paraplegic.

She hire a Savvy attorney and the jury awarded her a huge settlement against Ford and Firestone due to faulty tires and the SUV's poorly designed causing the SUV to flip....

There is more sympathy for illegals then you know.

She lives in the states now, imagine that?

What I want to know is, how can illegals sue in America. They are here illegal, so technically they have no rights! Don't get me wrong, I'm not agreeing with WalMart cause we all know that they are wrong on a lot of things, but the illegals suing? They are obviously breaking the law by being here, so how can they sue? Seems contradictory to me!!

Wal-Mart and their subcontractor (which Wal-Mart set up) advertised in foreign cities newspapers for workers, and promised them legal status.

Illegal immigration is serious business. Companies like Wal-Mart are using it as a cudgel to keep legal workers low-paid and working in terrible conditions.

As for the illegals, they do well here. They get social services, healthcare paid for by the communities they live in, bank loans, their own rental leases, kids enrolled in school, more services than they get, or even taxpayers get, in their home countries. Thank your politicians for this craziness.

Wal-Mart lost the suit and had to pay $11 million in damages.

The people who sued (the majority of whom, by the way, were NOT Mexicans, but Eastern Europeans) were deported. So kind of a Pyrrhic victory.

man this is a tough one! Wal Mart should have to pay for there constant disregard for employment laws but i don't think they should have to pay someone who shouldn't be here in the first place. I hate wal-mart and this is just another reason i don't shop there. This is just another reason on a long list of why illegal immigration is bad, It allows people to be taken advantage of.

It's like the illegals parading in the street in protest of the new immigration laws. How ignorant is that? They don't seem to understand the real issue...it's not their immigration, it's the illegal part of it that is a concern. Mexico does not give illegals special treatment like the U.S. I think President Fox should get out of his palace, off his a$$ and take care of his OWN people!

Quite honestly nothing against any specific race but if your hear illegally get the @%#% out. Americans are having enough problems finding jobs without people who shouldn't be here taking them... But i also have a big issue with so many jobs going oversea as well as with many of the temp services around here

Actually, illegals CAN and DO sue American citizens and companies. Did you hear about the ranchers on the border who lost their property to the illegals because the ranchers did not want them trespassing and destroying their private property. I would bet they win, serves Walmart right, anti-American pieces of corporate crap that they are.

Nothing surprises me any more ... nothing ... these people are cheeky as hell ... mind you, I don't mind if Wal-Mart gets sued ... would love to see them go out of business, but fat chance of that ...

The Land of the Free? The Land of the Freebies more like ... if you're not an American citizen of course ... :(

Wal-Mart is always in trouble for one thing or another. Lets see how they do in Mexico. I don't think their ways will change.
