if they get caught , they are turned into slaves , very simple solution , if they want to come to america that bad to do it illegaly they probably would like this idea . Room and board , definately job security and their own little apartment in the barn , probably 10 times better from where they came from and I would even let them drive my tractor

Let me tell you, big corporations would bring back slavery in a blink of an eye if they could get away with it ... to them, people are "human capital" ... if it would be cheaper and more profitable for them to provide room and board, food and health care etc., and nothing else, they'd go for it ... and don't tell our administration, they do what big business tells them to do ....

By the way, there are already multiple thousands of illegal immigrants from all over the world, most notably China, who were smuggled in (mostly through our ports) and are held as slaves, working in fields and factories across the U.S. More than 50,000 a year are smuggled in from China, alone -- how will legalizing slavery stem THAT growing tide?

Illegal immigration is, in fact, making the rich richer and the poor poorer, it's only a matter of time until there is de facto slavery. It may not be legal slavery, but it will exist.

In this day and age, nobody is going to be anybody's slave. And when you force someone to do what they don't want to do, you're going to be in big trouble 'cos education has advanced so much (and that's why they had the brains and guts to make their way to the US illegally!!!!) that I won't be surprised if they'd punch you on the face or worse, poison you with their native stuff. We should give them a choice when they are caught: your idea or jail. I want them gone but they won't leave so your idea or jail sounds like a fitting punishment for them.
