What would our government do if all those trying to do things LEGAL decide to sue? I'm seeing lots of dollar signs here. Also seeing a great big lesson for our government and all the pro-illegals coming soon. What do you think?

First of all, as I'm sure you've read, those that are filing the suit are here legally and are trying to get the government to do its job (for a change). Legally they have no claim for monetary damages, they are only seeking mandamus to compel the adjudication of their petitions. Statutorily, the government only has a set amount of time to issue a decision on a naturalization application and, as often happens, they've failed to meet that deadline in this case.

I think the lesson learned will be for the government. However, this case is not unusual and the exact same petition for mandamus is filed routinely in Federal Courts throughout the country on a weekly basis. The problem is that those working for USCIS are your typical lazy and incompetent government bureaucrats, and they provide services equal to their measure. What's most troubling to me is that the government has to spend our tax dollars to defend the lawsuit, whereas if they would just get their butts in gear every once in a while, these suits wouldn't get filed.

The people suing are the ones who are here legally. One of the gentlemen involved took his citizebship test back in 2003 and has yet to hear his results. According to the law, he is to be informed 120 days after taking the test.

It's a great way for us to find illegals.

Put up a sign saying 'Free busride to hearing on the naturalization of illegal immigrants'. Then drive the bus to the border and kick them out.

Wow what a way to start things! before even getting citizenship lets start demanding rights that they don't have yet! I think all their applications should be voided at once! if They are gonna get sue happy we don't need them as Americans.

There is a group "Judaical Watch" that is watching and suing the Government for various things. Maybe we should all send our names in to them and tell them we want a suit. That our rights are being stepped on.
