I use to think hadenough had sense-but look what she said

. I am trying not to answer those questions I know for sure are foolishness.

She can pick who is foolish and who isn't. Can you? I suppose she knows who all the Illegals are.

...without Mexico? Some people responding to my other Q went on and on about what a huge economic benefit Mexico/Mexicans are to the US economy. What's your opinion, can we not find eligible employees among a population of 280 million etc?

I did. I wondered if anyone else caught this.. The older (very accomplished) young lady - wanted to attend Princeton and get a full scholarship. She didn't get into Princeton, but a college in California (of course) accepted her. Although I had a lot of compassion for her (and her family's) situation, I found myself wondering how many American lower income students would lose their place at that school and the money that she will get in scholarhips - although she isn't a citizen. I mean she worked hard, but I am sure there are American students who did that too and need the cash for an education. Did anyone else find this a bit offensive? Please don't spout crap and insults. If you disagree, disagree, but be respectful and state your position.

Section 8 USC 1324(a)(1)(A)(iv)(b)(iii)
It is also a felony to encourage or induce an alien to come to or reside in the U.S. knowing or recklessly disregarding the fact that the alien's entry or residence is in violation of the law. This crime applies to any person, rather than just employers of illegal aliens.

One of the things I have learned in my life is that getting angry, raising your voice, shouting obscenities, name calling, and being too emotional only hurts the individual acting this way. No one is going to change anyone’s mind using the tactics just mentioned. If you approach someone in a civil, calm, and respectful manner, the individual will more than likely listen to you. If not, then THEY have a problem. Rants and raves automatically throw up a wall. This goes for both legals and illegals.

Therefore, if we discuss things void of emotion, we are more likely to listen to the other point of view.

Can we agree to be civil here? You know, THAT is a sign of maturity and stability.

We've been together for quite a while now, he walked here a few years ago, I'm divorcing my husband now because I love him, we want to get married and have a family. If we apply for marriage with him here can he get deported? What steps do we have to take for us to get married? I heard it doesn't matter if we have a child together. I have a nine month old daughter with my ex husband now, does that effect anything? Anyone who has any information please help, I'm so worried I don't know what I'd do without him...

I realize that this is not an immigration question, but I would like to lighten things up a bit for a little while.

Did you ever notice that when you say to someone, "I lost my (whatever)" people ALWAYS ask you, "Where did you lose it"?

Duh, if I lost it but knew where I lost it, it wouldn't be lost.

Just one of those little ironies in life.

Many ppl seem to hate illegals, they want them deported back to wherever they came from. They see illegals as enemy, they see them as thiefs and criminals.. Are we americans scared??
-Somehow we know that if Illegals get amnesty, they'll have a chance to be legal in the US.
-some maybe scared that these people are going to have more opportunities to succeed and get better jobs. They are forced to do hard low-paying jobs because of their status in the US.
-But once they get a legal status, they're going to have equal rights as anyother american, so they'll obviously start working for higher-paying jobs.
-I believe many americans are scared because they know this will happen.
-the same happened w' african-americans, once they had equal rights as the whiteman, more blacks started to go to school and get better jobs.
-so are you afraid that this will happen??
