......immigrants, always assume you are talking about them also, when you refer to 'ILLEGAL' slime balls??

And why would an honest, law abiding citizen aid and abet (illegal by the way) an 'ILLEGAL' who is breaking so many laws. Why would they not encourage them to do it the right way. WHY would they even want to be associated with such trash.

From what I have noticed America was already a bit elitist, its because of the good ole american pride, but that was supposed to be good before, it is evident on what pride has done for the country for the past few decades. After the 9/11 attacks pride has reared its ugly head.

Everyone started hating. First hate the middle eastern people and then now hate the hispanics. Whos next?:(

Will hate benefit into anything good for America?
For the children and the children's children (so to speak).

America's immigration system is broken. Illegal immigration can no longer be tolerated, and we must find the answer soon. No country has extended itself to immigrants the way the U.S. has. In fact, most countries impose an immigration policy that is much stricter than our own, considering ALL illegal entry criminal.

Guess who has such a strict policy? MEXICO!

Here are a few facts about Mexico's immigration policies:
Unlawful entry into Mexico is a crime and automatically brings a fine of $600 to $9,000 and up to 2 years in jail;
Failure to immediately depart brings a fine of up to $9,000, and attempted re-entry after said deportation brings another fine of up to $9,000 and up to 10 years in jail; and Mexico imposes discriminatory conditions on legal immigrants, including where they may reside, & where & with whom they may be employed.
What could be more fair-minded than modeling America's new immigration policicy after that of the nation who send us the most immigrants.

Do immigrant workers get treated the same way at jobs, and recieve enough respect or do GET TO MUCH respect? If i was a immigrant that went thru the government to live here and did it by the book, would i be treated the same way as a person with fake papers, or no papers(i.e. immigration documents) at all? Would my quality of life be any different, or does that rely soly on how much money i have? Any statistics or books that can back you up n explain better?

I've heard illegals are taking all the jobs, but how can that be true when millions of hard working americans loose their job to outsourcing, besides there's not 250 million illegals here to do every job that every american is or once held.

What happenes when millions of americans loose their jobs because companies and corporations move their manufacturing jobs to a different country to be able to pay the workers less and avoid high taxes to our government? Are they just being humanitarian and taking jobs to less fortunate countries who's economy is in despair and helping them?

Ok i'm not grasping the concept yet, people complain about mexicans not wanting to assimilate. It seems that mexicans are the only ones they seem to talk about, well what about korea town, china town, lillte habana and other ethnic towns that have street signs, store signs, and other stuff written in that cultures native language, why is no one quick to point to them and make them assimilate by making them put everything in english? Or am I just missing a point here?

I am a quarter french on my mother's side and actually have a completed family tree, proving my heritage back to St. Malo. I plan on moving to the EU in the next few years and figured that gaining my citizenship with an EU country will help this goal.

I do not speak very much french (but want to learn), will this hold me back from gaining citizenship?

The fact that the Spanish language is being targeted by anti-immigrant activists wanting to take down bilingual signs, etc. confirms what we've known all along, which is that the immigration debate is not about "legal vs. illegal" immigration, but rather, is about race. Immigration debates in U.S. history have been historically tied to debates about race, and the current one is no different. Not all undocumented immigrants speak Spanish, yet only Spanish-language services are being targeted. Let's see them try to stop Polish-language services in Chicago meant for the city's large Polish population (many of whom are undocumented) that has blonde hair and blue eyes.

I mean there are real issues regarding Illegal immigration that should be discussed in a logical tone. Enough with that distraction tactic. It was a movie for pete's sake.

Why are you against Illegal Immigration? Taxes, healthcare, slave labor, corporatations... Tell me on this fine forum... Peace and Cheers.

i'm an international student going to study at Oral Roberts University. i applied for uni around february and they didn't list me as an international student. I asked for my I-20 in early june, and my I-20 from my high-school already expired in May 28. The international coordinator told me that they would issue me a new one, but i would have to cross the US border and get it stamped. The thing is, my passport is getting renewed and won't be back anytime soon. A mexican VISA takes about 2 weeks to be processed and they won't issue me one without my passport. My mom asked the immigration in San Francisco if i needed the I-20 stamped, and they said no but its different in every state. Can anyone help me on this? thank you! the state I'm living in is Oklahoma.
