From what I have noticed America was already a bit elitist, its because of the good ole american pride, but that was supposed to be good before, it is evident on what pride has done for the country for the past few decades. After the 9/11 attacks pride has reared its ugly head.
Everyone started hating. First hate the middle eastern people and then now hate the hispanics. Whos next?:(
Will hate benefit into anything good for America?
For the children and the children's children (so to speak).

Okay granted that HATE might benefit something but would you really teach your son or daughter, as early in their toddler years to IGNORE or snob a hispanic or another minority? I dont get it, really. Too bad its incurable.

Well, for anti-american hate, you need go no further than your local newspaper, a lot of our former 'friends' have turned on us like cheap jewelry these days, seems like nobody loves us no more if we stop sending em money...and that by itself is a pretty illuminating realization...if the only reason your 'friends' are your friends is 'cause you're paying em, you don't really have any. Kind of says a lot, I think...it's all good, though. All by our lonesomenessnesses, with no illegal immigration or other 'help', we still have what it takes to run our own country. People will be driving less, but that won't hurt anything anyway. But, whatever it takes, we need to balance our budget, and get other people on the path of solving their own problems again...just like people used to do...as far as elitism goes, well I think americans have a right to be proud...our country's the home of a lot of innovation and unparalleled ambition, the envy of a lot of other countries, and that 'envy' word is pretty powerful. Envious people are dangerous customers, given to things like subterfuge and worse in order to gain benefit for themselves regardless of fairness or honesty or anything else. A lot of people talk crap about america who've never even been there, base their rhetoric on the garbage they were in turn fed by their own politicians, and thus america always gets called on to wipe someone else's ***, foot the bill, AND be the whipping boy for the multitudinous and uncountable ills of the world. If something's wrong somewhere, it must be america's fault for 'not doing enough' etc. When are other countries going to finally stand up, and make shift for themselves/solve their own problems/take responsibility for their own incompetencies and mistakes? I'm all for nailing the border shut and generally telling the world to go take a hike...they can do for themselves, we've certainly showered enough money on them...it's about time...

Terrorists were the ones who were hated after 9-11 not people in the middle east.
I don't think the illegals are hated.
I have'nt seen any Americans burning Mexican flags in Mexico, trying to tell Mexicans to get out and go back to Asia where they came from, or entering their country and marching through Mexico's cities under a Foriegn Flag or saying **** you this is America. The last one was about a bumper sticker in the South West that read "**** you this is still Mexico"
That behavior is the most hate filled and racist behavior I we have ever seen.

Gokart you rock!!!!!!!!
You are very well spoken.
This isn't about hate or racism although so many love to say it is and personally the racism I hear is towards the white population!
How sad.
AS AMERICANS we DO have a righ to be proud. What an amazing country we have.EVERY other country comes to us for help yet we are thw war mongers?
We are the first to send aid and money, supplies to EVERY other country but yet we are selfish? We don't give enough?
I can't tell you how many times I have heard that statement.
We are supporting so many other countries to the detriment of our own!
Why should our people be suffering yet other people can come here and be taken care of?
I do not hate but I can get angry about the situation!
We should be angry about the state of our country and OUR people here being in poverty, homeless, hungry.
Those should be our first priority before we take care of everyone else!
LOCK DOWN OUR BORDERS
KICK OUT ALL ILLEGALS AND THEIR OFFSPRING
WE WILL SURVIVE WITHOUT YOU!

No, definitely not. The American Civil War broke out because of hate due to racial discrimination of African Americans before. It brought about a lot of other negative things for America, like the number of guns manufactured (considered to be the biggest and worst in the world!) and of course, this hate didn`t prevail.
This line of thinking should be avoided at all cost. There is no need to hate in this cosmopolitan world of acceptance and openness.

I do not see any hate towards the Hispanics. Saying that people have to be accountable for breaking the law is not hate, it is just logic.
Where did you get the 80% figure from, did you conduct a hate poll?

I think hate was in way before the 9/11 attacks. But it has been everywhere, not just the US. Everyone hates. Unfortunately, no one can learn from history. Oddly enough, that is what the past is there for...to learn from it. And that goes for all countries...not just us.

The only benefit would be the bad health for those who get consumed with hatred.
I'm American, and would hope that all Americans realize that all of us are from different places/cultures...that's what made this country great. This hatred and ignorance must be addressed otherwise we will lose our unity and fall apart as a nation.

I do think that people can't benefit by hate. But I do think that some people do get benefitted by the hate. I am talking about it in an Indian context. In India politicians benefit from the hate wave. They also try to inflame things.

Maybe the terrorist should have thought of that before flying planes into the WTC.
Maybe illegals (and legals) should have thought of that before marching in the streets, waving Mexican flags and demanding rights they don't have as illegal aliens.
Get legal, learn English, assimilate or get the hell out of my country!
