Why are illegals screaming over our immigration laws? Do you know what the immigration laws are in Mexico?

America's immigration system is broken. Illegal immigration can no longer be tolerated, and we must find the answer soon. No country has extended itself to immigrants the way the U.S. has. In fact, most countries impose an immigration policy that is much stricter than our own, considering ALL illegal entry criminal.

Guess who has such a strict policy? MEXICO!

Here are a few facts about Mexico's immigration policies:
Unlawful entry into Mexico is a crime and automatically brings a fine of $600 to $9,000 and up to 2 years in jail;
Failure to immediately depart brings a fine of up to $9,000, and attempted re-entry after said deportation brings another fine of up to $9,000 and up to 10 years in jail; and Mexico imposes discriminatory conditions on legal immigrants, including where they may reside, & where & with whom they may be employed.
What could be more fair-minded than modeling America's new immigration policicy after that of the nation who send us the most immigrants.

Illegals talk about "fair". Let's be fair and impose the same restrictions as their nation imposes on others who wish to immigrate. That way it is a "fair" balance.

I don't want to hear about poverty. There is a long list of countries more poverty-stricken than Mexico and need help far more.

It is time that Mexico took care of it's own.

May be you should go to Mexico to discourage further immigration, 'cause if they saw you they might think WE ALL were like YOU and decide it's not worth it to live here....

For those of you having difficulty reading my question, (Marci, among others) I used the word "ILLEGALS".

When you keep saying Mexicans, you are changing the question...when you say "racist" you are evading the question. When you say we need to be "fair" you are an idiot and need to be deported, as well.

We are so fair that it is ridiculous....and those of you with these lame arguments are not studing the issue but are spouting off words you hears someone else say.

Since the illegals like to scream that US laws are racist, we should adopt Mexican immigration laws. And for being racist, do you know how Mexico handles their native Indian population? They are still massacring them.

There is NOTHING racist about what you say.

Mexicans think they can retake the SW USA back. For some reason they think it is/was part of Mexico at one. They are wrong. Mexico lost Texas as a result of brutality and a war. The illegal alien invasion is a part of this "re conquista"..... well, the demonstrations backfired....LOL, Hasta la vista, Re Conquista...

The USA should enact the same penalties on illegal aliens as Mexico does. Mexico even has its southern border militarized and closed... perhaps saving the USA for Mexican illegal aliens?

The border can be closed and illegal aliens can be deported.... oh my, who will do the work? Americans will, always have and always will.

Illegal aliens GET OUT, Stay Out, you willingly become CRIMINALS the moment you illegally enter the USA, everything you do while here illegally is a continuation of that criminal act.

As for unjust Musk, I think it is unjust for illegal aliens to INVADE the USA. They NEED to remain in their own countries and FIGHT for their RIGHTS, not come here and break our laws, steal our jobs, wreak havoc on our infastructure(schools, hospitals, social services, insurance rates), drive without licenses, insurance, ability to read traffic signs, and then have the audacity to demand "rights".... they have absolutely NO RIGHTS to be here, therefore, they have NO RIGHTS while here... except to GET OUT.

There is nothing Racist about this question. American laws are too humble for illegal immigrants, not only do they get here illegally, but some also receive welfare and we foot the bill from our taxes. What really surprises me is they don't only move here but try to change this into Mexico, for example translating the American National Anthem into Spanish, why?? If you do want to move to a county legally or illegally then learn to respect the country, its language, its people, its culture, its traditions.

Amen!! Fair is Fair.....wonder how long the illegals would stick around if we imposed those type of immigration laws. And you are so right about other countries being way more poor than Mexico. (13th richest country) I'd rather my tax money go to some of those extreme poverty stricken countries, than my money going to Illegals here.

Everybody needs to get over their racist views. Yes, I do agree we need to fix the problems with our illegal immigration, and Mexico needs to fix their problems in general. There are too many hateful people here, and it is represented in your writings. Hate will not solve anything. I just wonder when you hateful people say Mexicans, are you referring to the Mexican who have been here since before the Mexican American war, or are you referring to the Mexicans who were born here? Who are you referring to? Mexicans aren't the only illegals here, and I definitely wouldn't be afraid of them, especially the ones who have come here to pick lettuce and such. I would be afraid of all the terrorists that are here, and have come here plotting to blow all you "white devils" up. White devil is not a term I use, it's the term another group of people use that want to harm the United States...Think about it.

Mexico is worried themselves of their double standards -and I have heard wanted to change some-so we can't use that against them. They know that we have issues with the people who have come here. They want it all-with no backlash from us. It seems it has backlash some and they are not happy about it.
I agree-fair is fair. I the other hand even if they dropped all their laws (which I doubt) we owe nothing to other countries. We need to worry about the people of this country and the impact others cause. This should be our concern.

I completely agree with you. America has extended itself so far that we are close to catering to the wishes of law-breakers. These people (illegal immigrants) BREAK our laws and enter the country, then try to say we are not being "fair" or "impeding their rights" if we tell them to get out. Excuse me, this is OUR country! We do not have to cater to what other countries think of our policies, especially the people who are taking advantage of us! I think that all of America needs to wake up and start voicing their opinion about our weak immigration strategies!

We need to close our borders. And accept NO BODY! We try and be so tough but we are just push overs. Right now I think Australia has everything perfect. Australia doesnt take $***! Their borders are closed off. It is so incredably hard to get into there. They are the smart ones. America has to stand up for its self. We cant let this happen anymore!!
