This is an issue where each side hires sheeple to yell out slogans to drown out any logical discussion.

Our government is FOR illegal immigration. they do nothing about it. it is in the government's interest for their corporate buddies to have access to a cheap labor force. It is also in the government's interest to have a healthcare system that is inadequate. this reduces the level of public health among the poor, causing death earlier than among the other classes. It is also in the government's interest to have a school system that is overburdened due to too many students whos parents do not pay taxes and have to be taught in a foreign language. the money that should be spent making citizen children educated is spent making citizens and foreignors alike educated enough to work in fast food or a factory. no room for advancement. this keeps everyone except the wealthiest 5% of the population poor. These things will come to pass in several years and lead to a period resembling feudal europe during the middle ages. This has not happened in the past because immigrants were expected to learn english and pay taxes. but this time, our media has been put to work to give illegal immigrants a sense of entitlement, that because they walked over the border that they deserve to get something from us. that they should keep their culture and expect the people already here to cater to their needs.

If the immigrants can get here in a legal manner than they can have social rights. When they are illegal than they are slaves. So it is better for them to be protected by US law instead of being treated like people in a slave trade. They do not have insurance or any rights.

Truly, I am trying to understand your question; the first time I saw anyone be called a pod, it came from "hadenough" -- I saw it used enough that I asked, what is a pod; you yourself have used it answers to refer to the other side; what's up with all this ridiculous argument; no one is willing to grow up here, not even the original person who uses the pod word the most, hadenough; she also calls people rant rats; maybe it's your side you need to address, while you clean up your own act. DARS seems to be the model poster, and everyone should follow his lead.

We have to take care of what we have. We can't afford to take care of everyone-it is impossible. There has to be another way that is more controlled.
We do have laws-All countries do-and those laws should be respected.
I have to think of what benefit the majority of the people in situations like these. If there was a real emergency that would be different.
This was a nice post to answer. Let us be reasonable and logical.

My main reason is the same as JD's. Wanting to reclaim what they think is theirs. They're nervy as hell and have absolutely no respect for the US. They proved that by waving their Mexican flags. They come over here and expect us to learn their language, instead of learning ours. I HATE the fact that they are receiving free healthcare, but struggling American citizens have to suffer because we can't afford health insurance and don't qualify for government assistance. They are turning our cities and towns into gang-infested, crime-ridden, hell holes. I also hate the fact that they keep having children, knowing they cannot afford them, care for them properly, or give them the attention they need, which is why most turn to gang "families." Their real families don't have time for them. Why in the world does someone need 10+ kids when they are so poor? Give me a break! But, like JD said..."Reconquista." That's what it's all about.

When I was young I remember hearing about the immigrants that came through Ellis Island. They wanted to learn English. They wanted to breathe free. They wanted to become Americans. Now, far too many immigrants come here with demands. They demand to be taught in their own language. They demand special privileges--affirmative action. They demand ethnic studies that glorify their culture.
Why am I against illegal immigration? 29% of inmates in federal prisons are illegal aliens. Less than 2% of illegal aliens are picking our crops, but 29% are on welfare.
Nearly 60% of all occupants of HUD properties are illegal.
The FBI reports half of all gang members in Los Angeles are most likely illegal aliens from south of the border.
Nearly 25% of all inmates in California detention centers are Mexican nationals here illegally.
Over 2/3 of all births in Los Angeles County are to illegal alien Mexicans on Medi-Cal, whose births were paid for by taxpayers.
75% of people on the most wanted list in Los Angeles are illegal aliens.
95% of warrants for murder in Los Angeles are for illegal aliens.
40% of all workers in L.A. County (L.A. County has 10 million people) are working for cash and not paying taxes. This was because they are predominantly illegal immigrants, working without a green card.
This is all from the LA Times news.
Is this logical tone enough for you? I hope so.
