Why do people continually say that people such as myself who can't stand illegal immigrants are racist? Has it occurd to YOU people that you're being racist by assuming all illegals are hispanics? And we never once said we hate hispanics we just can't stand the illegal ones and the ones who wont learn English this doesn't make us racist this makes reasonable. Is it so much to want someone to come here legally and if they are going to live here learn the language. I can assure you that if I moved to France I'd learn French or if I moved to Spain I'd learn spanish. Its you who are racist its called reverse discrimination.

We could read their consperiacy in their news papers hear it on radio station and on their news and be a step ahead! It would be handy if I ALWAYS knew what they were saying. Most of all I would need it to be a border patrol agent or an ICE agent. Now theres some good benifits (federal). The pays not great but the rewards would be great!

The majority of immigrants want nothing more than to contribute to the community. They would have prefered to remain in their homelands but are here so they can feed their families. Many young men come alone, after their entire extended families have scraped together the money to get them here. What they are able to earn at even the lowest paid jobs, feed whole families back home. Most work 2 and 3 jobs and work 18 hour days. They have build a strong community here that supports each other and they contribute a great deal to the local economy and community. As for that myth of free medical care? They sure don't get it here! Every Monday at the local hospital, there is a line of Brazilians waiting to make their small payments on what they owe. My friend who works in the billing office tells me that the only people who don't pay their bills are the Americans.

The current wave of immigrants are people, no different than the Irish great-grand parents who fled Ireland. People looking to survive and raise their children out of poverty.
On a side note: I wonder if these same people would agree to stop Spanish-language Army commercials meant to recruit Latino youth into the military.

It is a reality show by Morgan Spurlock who did 'Super-Size Me'. They picked a Minute-Man who was dead set against illegal immigrants to live with a family of illegal immigrants for 30 days to see what would happen.
This guy lived in a one bedroom apt with an illegal Mexican family of like 7 people. He worked with the father and collected cans with the mother and played golf with the daughter. He even went to Mexico to visit the family that this family left behind and saw the house they used to live in before they came here illegally.
Basically, the man grew to really like this family and changed his feeling towards illegal immigrants. While watching the show I grew to like the family and feel sorry for them as well, but it did not change my feelings that illegal immigration was wrong and would bring down this country if it got out of hand. The mother who moved here like 10 years or so ago made no attempt at all to speak English, not even simple words like hello or yes.

I will cut to the chase with this i am not racist my best friend is hispanic and i was raised by his family but i work hard for my money no illegals have hurt me or my family financially and we are blue collar workers i work 90 hours a week with 1 day off every month but i have a great plan since the illegals want to work and the bums on the corner dont lets let the illegals in and for every illegal who comes over we send a bum to Mexico to keep the economy levels halfway decent.

some call it the deer in the headlight look. Come on people we have $hit to do, learn English or get off the job site damn! This isn't some project farm like the tard work program...we don't have time to make simple Qs and As last a lifetime. Peoples lives are in risk when you have a herd of illegals "working" on job site and can't understand what the hell is going on! I was watching the news tonite and heard that the increased crackdowns on criminal trespassers is having the effect of overburdening the federal court system accross America. The courts cannot cope with the backlog of pending cases. Anyone else see this?

The ramifications of illegal immigration are widespread and not entirely understood even by Homeland Security. This is a very serious problem folks, What are we going to do?

concerns us all............and has SO many valid concerns on both sides. That being said.........a certain group who call themselves (BARBARA........a political "group who use this forum as a TOOL) choose to pick and choose who is "RIGHT" concerning this issue and use many pseudonyms to do so.

My question FINALLY......should we allow this important issue to be distorted by those who don't really CARE but use us as "mice" in their immigration game? Doesn't valid concern for the issue override US being pawns in their latest paper?

This is what i don't get,please explain it too me.They hire the illegal immigrants,treat them like slaves,paid them a misery taking advantage of their situation,some go even so far as to send a coyote to get them as if they are ordering employees, Then America has the nerve to protect them,they blame the immigrants for breaking the law,what law the one your people brake by getting them? The immigrants are trying to survive they have no money they come here to take care of their families back home, they come trying to live the "American Dream"they come focus on working that they don't care if is a little bit of money,That provides for their wives and children back home with the dream of one day making enough to be able to bring there families over here. People discriminate them,offend them treat them like crap tell them to go back,that they took their jobs and that they don't pay taxes. Americans have everything available here in America,they don't know what is being poor nor do they no what it is when their kids ask them for food and they don't have nothing to give them,Americans have options,oppurtinuites and could be as successful as they want..but yet they are so stuck on saying they took their jobs, yeah like they are going to work in such horribles conditions for a little bit of money and hold 2 jobs,like they do..Don't give me that crap if you haven't found a good job is because you are lazy or is not like you need it because you ain't starving..That is why americans are so unmotivated and the immigrants are so motivated they have to be their families depend on that little bit of money they make here in america..

What i really hate the most is that american citizens blame them and still knowing how poor is mexico they don't care all they want is to get rid of them,They are so ungrateful for what they have and don't see how people have lost their lives for just a little of what you have. They are already here and should be provided with legal status and make those jerks pay them what they deserve, not punish the illegal immigrants for wanting to stay alive. I used to work as a supervisor 1st shift and one day the second shift supervisor was absent and i had to stay to cover his shift that day,what was interesting is to see that my first shift employee was working second shift too,I never seen them because i left at 3:30pm and second shift starts at 4:00pm I ask them why were they still at the ware house and they and they told me they needed the money and explain it to me, That means they worked from 7am to 12:30 am all day long for only 6.00 an hour, while i was making like 15 an hour from only 7am till 3:30pm....since some honest company don't let them work all day they apply through the company 1st shift and through a work agency second shift .. I have much respect for them they bust their A** working and they deserve the very best, The owner of the company is who hires them so if they were illegal or not i really don't know i just know they were immigrants trying to survive..on my shift i would just let them work on easy stuff since i knew they worked 2 shift but they would always refused they said they are used to working hard that it was not a problem...They always had my production order done on time,i never had a complain from them. I really hope all millions here in America are provide with legal status so they could earn as much as us..that way no owner of a business could take advantage of them...

After being denied for not having enough credentials, or not having enough financial proof, what are the consequenses? Can you reaply again? if so, how soon? Will the U.S have you on file as being previously denied? Also, can you be denied for not having enough proof of the relationship with your fiancee?

why do most people think that illegals don't pay taxes? they do pay taxes if you have to have a ss to work even if it's fake they still deduct taxes from their check or do they ask wether they're illegal or not and don't deduct anything. plus when they go to the store
they pay taxes like everyone else. another thing is that many people think that illegals can get welfare benefits as far as i know
you have to proof citizenship to get any type of benefit!! why are so many people misinformed??

Immigrants, in general, or rather, Mexicans, because that is what we are talking about here, have an astonishing work ethic, tremendous respect for the United States, a deeply vested interest in the common good and are historically absorbed after the first generation.
It is very, very difficult to work without papers at any meaningful level above the lowest paying jobs. Undocumented immigrants are not trying to sell you insurance, sell you a house, operate on your kidneys or do your taxes. This economy needs immigrants to do the jobs Americans refuse to do. It is an idiotic argument that shows a huge disconnect in how Americans receive the goods and services they have come to depend on, and the source of labor that supplies it, i.e. iceberg lettuce for 80 cents a head or dinner in a nice restaurant for less than $100.
The Social Security Administration has accrued billions of dollars of collected payments from undocumented workers over the years, knowing full well that they will never have to pay this money out. Do you think they do not know this?
The reason this 'block the border' argument is "racist" is beacuse there has been virtually no effort to secure our border with Canada, the 9-11 terrorists entered this country legally and most Americans continue to refuse to absorb immigrants who do not look or sound like themselves.

You know is not really their illegal status that bothers you, it's just the color of their skin. You and I know that's the truth. why not get mad about all the white-skinned or for example irish or so forth..what bothers you racist xenophobics is the color of the skin.
