why do most people think that illegals don't pay taxes? they do pay taxes if you have to have a ss to work even if it's fake they still deduct taxes from their check or do they ask wether they're illegal or not and don't deduct anything. plus when they go to the store
they pay taxes like everyone else. another thing is that many people think that illegals can get welfare benefits as far as i know
you have to proof citizenship to get any type of benefit!! why are so many people misinformed??

identity theft is a crime i agree but not only illegals steal identities anyone can do it
it doesn't matter wether your illegal or not.
plus yes i would like to see links where it says illegals can get benefits if anything they get benefits fo their kids that are US citizens. if you complain that you pay more taxes because of illegals i guess it hasn't even crossed your mind that you also pay taxes for the war in iraq which by the way is pretty senseless and they waste millions of dollars everyday . i rather pay extra taxes for people to get better and not the opposite.

OK hon, Identity theft does happen, Illegals do use other peoples SS numbers this is a FACT. (see link, for one example) Also Illegals do get welfare benefits. (sorry to inform you of that, do you want me to provide you a link for that too??? cause I will if you need it) And most illegals do NOT pay tax, do you honestly think those ILLEGALS standing around at the day labor spots pay taxes?? NO they don't. As for the check (taxes being withheld) um the only way they can get a job is if they can show they are legal...so this leads us back to Identity theft and/or fake papers, forged documents (still a crime) using a fake SS number is the same as using counterfeit money (both money and SS cards are FAKE).....and more so if you know. And oh yea those illegals know full well that those papers are fake. So it really seems to me that you are the one that is misinformed....
Do you want the links to prove that illegals do get welfare?? Let's not mention how much they cost us in Health Care...want that link too???
NOW your turn.................................

~ADD ON~ so what your saying is because American Citizens commit Identity theft, that makes it ok for Illegals to do the same?? Where is the logic in your argument??
And for my tax money going towards the war, well alot of that is going towards the soldiers that are putting their lives on the line....so some of that money is going towards LEGAL Americans pay checks. And you say it's a senseless war (that would be your opinion). I would rather my tax dollars going to LEGAL US citizens, like the disabled, homeless, poverty stricken neighborhoods and so much more. Programs for the under privilaged US citizens that need a hand up. MY tax money does NOT need to go to citizens of ANOTHER country, why should I pay for their poor?? We have too many poor US citizens right here already, that need our help, and you want to give money to the ones that DO NOT BELONG HERE??? Do you even know how much ILLEGALS cost your state for Health Care?? I dare you to google it.....Maryland pays 40- 44 MILLION dolllars a year...just for their health care. And by the way what does paying for a war have to do with paying for ILLEGAL ALIENS??
So let me get this straight your saying since American Criminals commit identity theft that it's ok for the ILLEGALS to do it?? AND because we pay for a "senseless war" that we should pay for the illegals?? Did I get that right?? Here's your links hope you learn something......

You are right UNDOCUMENTED WORKERS do pay taxes. If one does not have a ss# they are given a tax ID # to file with. And those who do get paid under the table well, I really doubt their employers are reporting this so they are just as much a "criminal". Also in California Undoc's do NOT receive welfare because they do not qualify. Check with the local agency to prove. When a application is received by the social services they verify everything. Most people will straight up tell the worker that they are illegal. They may receive benefits for their children that are born here but they themselves receive none .

Your post would only work in a perfect world and that we just don't have. If ss# numbers are made up how can you not say that some of these numbers are not already issued and in use by the person to whom it belongs to?? Two things in life never changed..Death and Taxes.

Here is a response from my congress woman. Read.....
Ever since Congress began the debate on how best to secure our borders and deal with the millions of illegal immigrants living in the United States , the response from 5th District residents has been overwhelmingly supportive of the House bill, and completely opposed to the sham amnesty bill that came out of the Senate. Of the 3,000 plus letters, e-mails and phone calls I have received from my constituents, only about 50 were in favor of the Senate amnesty bill.
Given those statistics, you should understand why my constituents and I are appalled at the "No Illegal Alien Left Behind" legislation from the Senate. Rather than focusing on the immediate and urgent threat that unidentified border crossers pose to our security, the Senate chose to pass legislation that weakens law enforcement's ability to enforce America 's immigration laws and gives amnesty to millions.

In my opinion, the federal government is incapable of multitasking. I find the idea that we could properly secure our borders at the same time we are trying to put a five-tier structure in place for the 12 million illegal immigrants to "earn citizenship" a joke. Not only will it never work, this plan will most likely make our borders less secure.

The Senate amnesty plan rewards lawbreakers, gives Social Security benefits to illegal immigrants, and ties the hands of border control agents and sheriffs. It is clear that open borders leave our nation vulnerable to future attack and infiltration. Thankfully much of the American public understands that the Senate's fatally flawed bill does not deserve to pass the House in its present form.

Any legislation that rewards lawbreakers will not pass with my vote. I cannot support a final bill that does not fund the construction of a real fence on the border, that does not declare English as the official language of the United States and that provides Social Security benefits to illegal immigrants. As the Representative of the most Social Security recipients in the nation, it is unconscionable to me that hard working American seniors will have their money siphoned off for immigrants who broke our laws and came to our country illegally.

The Senate approach that offers amnesty to illegal immigrants already in the U.S. would not address our most pressing needs, and would undermine existing efforts to crack down on illegal immigration. President Ron ald Reagan said, "A nation that cannot control its borders is not a nation." For the sake of our national security, strengthening America 's borders should be our top priority.
Sincerely,

Ginny Brown-Waite
Member of Congress

If you are paid cash you are not paying income tax and if you think a lot of them don't get paid under the table as it is also known then you are just as misinformed.
