It is disturbing to me that the US has the audacity to not step in and tell Isreal to cease fire. The skewed perspective that is shown on TV is that "oh my, Isreal lost 9 soldiers" but almost neglect to mention that Isreali bombs killed 1000 lebanese civillians for no reason other than they say they are targeting Hezbollah forces.

Bush's Comments today were " I dont what to have a false peace that is only delaying the enevitable" that is BS in my book, anytime you are giving time for families another day of life is a good thing. Isreal is not any different than any other mideast nation, but for some reason the US kisses there butt and doesnt give a damn about them having weapons and killing people.

Sad that our government is willing to let this go on like this. Very Christian of you Mr. Bush.

My two cents.

I think that if the Democrats fired rockets into Mexico, we would put the Democrats in jail. I do think the fact that terrorists are able to be a political party in Lebanon makes the government responsible for them. I think Lebanon should denounce them and take steps against them, with or without international help.

However, I don't want to see more people die. I'd rather try a cease fire with a deadline for action than to just allow it to go on.

I don't really have enough information on this to have these sweeping opinions, but that is my general take.

P.S. I think you are in the wrong category here.

1st-mr_e_... all the posted numbers are around 420 for Lebanon
1000?
lebanon asked to come to the civilized world, an agreement was reached, and they didn't hold up their end of it. hezbollah is the target, that is clear to anyone with a brain. if this is to end quickly, it's up to the BAD people. they could end this yesterday, or the day before!! will they? why not? is this reasonable?
why is no one asking these questions? boy, wouldn't want to talk about the elephant in the room, now would we?

9:20 p.m. numers are up to 630.... in Lebanon.

The fighting is between Israel and Hezbollah. At least get the questions right.

I think that the Lebanese people are getting caught in the middle because of politics.
