What NEW system would be a reasonable way to run USA into a great success, without taking our BASIC freedoms, and way of "day to day life? The System today reminds me of Atlas ( the God w/ the world on his shoulders) - too much stuff piled onto a frail, impractical memory. The clauses they keep adding onto our "Constitution" voids out and makes it pointless anymore. Any ideas to add? Any thoughts on my above opinion? This kind of requires a discussion instead of an answer but I would still like to read your thought of this. Bye.

Personally I would say that I could get by fine without my tax dollars funding the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA), the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and of course the IRS (fat chance). Where do you think we are throwing away too much money, time and resources as a nation?

Is anybody else as tired as I am of the prices at the pump being down one week than up the next? They are ripping us off at the pumps. Does anyone else share my opinion that Bush is behind this yo-yo effect? He stands by sending MORE troops to Iraq and presto! the gas prices go up by almost $0.35 the next day.

Watching the President's speech to Congress I noticed that he said two sentences about the first female speaker, and was interrupted TWICE for separate standing ovations. I've noticed in previous State of the Union addresses and also when Prime Minister Blair addressed a joint session of the US Congress, that important and serious points are interrupted and even diminished by it. I'm not suggesting dignitaries should be subjected to House of Commons style heckling, but wouldn't it be more appropriate to listen respectfully and only interrupt to applaud main, substantive points rather than constantly rising for everything you agree with, cheering and disrupting the rhythm of the speech?

It seems that everywhere there are polls that show that the support for the Iraq war is way down and everyone believes that we should bring our troops home. Also articles that bash Bush for this mess.
Are all of these really necessary?? I have to wonder why Bush is now in the middle of his SECOND term, if everybody hates him so much... And I also have to wonder, with the expanded media coverage these days, how hearing that a majority of Americans no longer support the war affects our troops that are fighting for us over there..
I can't say that I approve of every choice Bush has made, but he was elected a 2nd time and after 9/11 it seemed that most of America backed his decision to go. Now everyone wants a pull-out?? Anyone ever stop to think that pulling out of there now, may create more problems than it corrects??
I think we need to be showing our support to our troops and correct our Bush mistake by our votes in the next election. Stop making our troops think we don't care.
