When the Pentagon becomes the largest most powefull domestic police force over and above even the FBI what does that mean as far as Civilian Oversight?

Cheney didn't like the intelligence that the CIA was giving them so he has Rumsfeld start an intelligence department in the DOD so they could fabricate the intelligence to support their lies.

Right now probably because of the situation. In light of foreign terrorist on our soil and the plotting of insurrections within our country it might be necessary for now. Navy Intelligence is pretty good. Maybe we can balance it out later or maybe a new enemy will rise... All we really can do is trust for now...
