for the rich ?

Republicans called repeatedly on Wednesday for elimination of the estate tax — which falls principally on the largest of estates — and reduction in the income tax on corporations.

Many democrats have said that taxes on the rich and big corporations will be needed to make up for the current deficit. The idea being that the deficit is hurting our economy, and the country in general. Yet there is also the argument that more taxes will hurt the economy, and the country in general.

Which do you think is worse (or better) to have the higher taxes, or the deficit? Or do you have an alternative?

I was stopped by the police this morning and they said that they had saw me using my mobile phone while driving.

I swear on my grandchildren life that I was not using it . I hadn't used it all since yesterday. I had been scratching my left ear. They said I had it at my right ear. I immediately offered them my phone which was in my bag and asked them to check the call records to show when my last call had been made, received etc. they said they didn't have to do that. They had both seen me and that was enough.

I refused to accept the fixed penalty charge so now it's going to go to the procurator fiscal who will decide if any charges follow.

As soon as I got to work I phoned the police station and was told that the officers hadn't done anything wrong.

I phoned Orange and asked them to send me an itemised phone bill with times on it, they said they can only do that for calls I have made and not ones I had received.

I don't know what else to do. help

I personally lean towards Hillary, but her and Obama both can be very polarizing. There are some people who just won't vote for either. I can't see Democrats hating Edwards and not wanting to vote for him if he was to run for president. Is Edwards a good safe choice for the Democrats? Ot is my new conclusion wrong?

(I don't care if you don't like any - I'm asking from the perspective of Democrats - what makes sense for them to do?)

There has apparently been another bus beating on an MTA bus in Baltimore.

WBAL-TV reports that two men aboard the #64 bus in Brooklyn claim they were attacked by a group of 7 black teens. The two men say they were attacked because they were white. They also claim the bus driver refused to call police for them.

This comes less than a week after a white woman was beaten on a bus. 9 black middle school students have been arrested in that case.

where is the reverend al sharpton, the defender of EQUALITY? why is he nowhere to be found in these racially motivated beatings?

What do you think should be the penalty for Brown? Who reduced a Gay to tears by "Shouting at him".
The Gay (Spencer Livermore,Downing Street Director of Political Strategy) was "Badly scarred" and it was last reported that he was being "Comforted by Friends" (place your own interpretation on THAT)
How much time in the Slammer do you think should be given to Gay Gordon?
One knows how distressed these poor boys can get.!
Especially on the receiving end of a Jock "Hissy-Fit"
Do you think that the poor dear will ever recover?

The question was what will you do in your first year as president? His response was to first call together the joint chiefs and have them formulate a responsible plan that ends the war and begins the diplomacy necessary to bring stability to the region. Secondly, he would call in the attorney general and have him review every executive order made by Bush and examine them for constitutionality and reverse those that are not. What do you think about these two things?

I like much of what Ron Paul stands for. However, I don't like the fact that he seems so anti-war, that he comes accross as though we shouldn't have attacked Affghanistan. That is an entirely different war than Iraq. Additionally, most of the world was on our side with Afghanistan. He comes accross as opposed to both wars and not just Iraq. His views on limited taxes, no IRS, homeschooling, exc... I agree on all that. However, sometimes foreign intervention is necessary, and why would he think we can actually negotiate with the Taliban, and we were right in taking them out for harboring people whose objective is to kill thousands of civillians and millitary. Feedback???

Im a girl looking to join the military- Army or Air Force. Preferrably Air Force. I have short jawline hair that is super curly and frizzy. How can I deal with this at basic??

Also, I have 25 lbs to lose before I can enlist in the Air Force. What are some ways I can lose it fast? I work out 3-4 times a week as my schedule allows and I eat decent. But it will NOT come off! I've been trying since January and I'm at the same place I was when I started. My metabolism is screwed up from losing 40 lbs before the wrong way. I just dont know what to do and I want to achieve my goal from 7th grade! College life isnt for me! Help!!!!

For signing our county over to our former enemies in Europe.
Whats the point of our parliament if theyre handing all the power to Brussels ?
Why didnt we just join Hitlers Europe ? (we didnt know about the extermination of the Jewish after all)
If the Flag was Red....... people would see the European project for what it is...... the Communist dream .
