I would like to know what a realist would think of this statement, "Ethnic and cultural identities are mere constructions; all human beings are essentially the same and have the same interests."

this is so wrong and is it the message we should be giving, like 'naughty naughty' slap on the wrist 'now don't do it again'? The original sentence should have stuck for gosh sakes, what is wrong with the Judiciary of the blessed UK are they all losing the plot?

I purchased a amplifier which was supposed to be 1000 rms watts @ 2 ohm mono. I called them to verify and they said that is is max power and not rms and i need the power to be RMS watts and nto MAX. Their website states this.

Product Name:
ULZ1001 1000 Watt Mono Block High Performance Amplifier
Stock No. #
ULZ1001
Description:
1 x 500 Watts RMS @ 4-Ohm
1 x 1000 Watts RMS @ 2-Ohm
Dimensions (L x D x H) 11.75” x 11” x 2”

I called and they said it is 500 rms @ 2 ohm and not 1000. I purchased specially for my subwoofer that has to have 1000 rms watts. What could i do?

thank you

I'm intrigued, a friend of mine and myself have an ongoing argument as to what would happen if, when questioned by the police and with no form of prior, visual, other information, fingerprint or anything at all available to them to identify you, you refused to give any details whatsoever. We do recognise that you'd be 'arrested' for obstruction of justice but could you be brought to trial in the UK? (as technically speaking all uk cases are 'Her Majesty vs. [NAME]' and without a name could they take you to prosecution). Also, could they create some form of criminal record for you? This is all asusming that you did something worthy of more than a basic arrest.

She keeps talking about "cutting an order" and that this is enough to summon a marshall to enforce it. (Today, she told a plaintiff that was how they could get their dog back.) What is the responsibility of a marshall to respond to something other than a court duly constituted and authorized by governmental legialation? For that matter, how about anyone else who has not agreed to submit to her jurisdiction? Could she issue an order that anybody other than her litigants have to obey? Doesn't sound right to me.

I'm in a homeschool debate league, and we're debating the topic of illegal immigration. My partner and I are doing a case on improving Mexico's economy, but I feel as if we're lacking advantages to 'enact' our plan.

What I would like to know, is if anybody else has any ideas as to how there would be extra advantages. Sources would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

I was a defendant in a lawsuit and in a settlement offer agreed to make monthly payments to the plantiff. I send the payments to the plantiffs attorney and not her directly. I make the check to a Trust Account." WHY? My accountant and my lawyer think that her lawyer is ripping her off for the money.
That is OKAY by me but I wonder if she is getting any of the money.

I am pursuing a lawsuit of an accident. I recently found that my lawyer's license is on probation until 2009 because of his fraud a couple years ago. I would like to know if this lawyer is legally to do his business during the probation period?

Thank you.

Since the democratic presidential candidates all said higher taxes for the rich and corporations; I'm curious will they care if the rich and corporations leave America for less expensive grounds? Since they have the resources to create a quality of life of substance anywhere on the planet (most anywhere) what happens to America if they leave - or do the democrats even care if they do?

http://www.house.gov/jct/x-45-00.pdf

This is from 2000... still looking for the newest pdf...

But looking at this chart...it appears that the middle class, pays the majority of the taxes in this country. The highest 1% pays 18.6%, while the rest of us who make less than $296,828...pay the rest. 50% of the tax entire burden falls squarely on the shoulders of those who make between 100k and 134k..."Middle class".

Does this clear things up a bit for all of those who claim the richest people pay most of the taxes in this country ?
