Maybe after Mexico is purged of it's corruption. I was asking a mexican freind who has done pretty well for himself why he doesn't go to Mexico & open a business for himself. He said that he would like to do that but the gov. would take away his money & he would be broke again. He said that is why I like living here. In this country there is hardly any differance between those that are rich & those that are less wealthy. The snub of the rich is less pronounced & we don't have to be hiding our money so the gov. & police can't take it away. & then we have the cartels. Viva America!!

To improve their economy would hopefully, under rational means, make it less necessary for illegals to leave and burden other economies.
The problem is the government. You can just look at our own government and see how that doesn't work. We just passed a minimum wage increase.....before it is truely implemented we have already increased prices to the point we are still in the hole and even more.
Seriously....I'm looking at price caps. You are entitled to only benefit this much off the backs of others before you go on.
Profit is used to maintain and forward a company.......not line individual pockets and do nothing.

Mexico is so rife with corruption that many companies will not go there. I saw on CNN the story of an American farmer who couldn't get enough cheap labor in the USA, so he moved to Mexico. His costs in Mexico were as high as in the USA. He didn't say why his costs were so high in Mexico, but I believe it is because of all the bribery that officials demand there.
Mexico makes it too hard for foreign companies to work there, so they deserve the mess that they are in. Mexicans will not stop coming into the USA by the millions while they can make 20 times their Mexican salary in the USA. You will not find much support for your debate point because it is clearly wrong.

If you improve the Mexican economy then Mexicans stay home. That would save in border security, health care, employment for US citizens, crime, insurance would drop due to less people being uninsured on the road, etc. etc.
However, the US economy would take a hit because the workers would have to be replaced with American workers paid at minimum wage, so prices for almost all US products would go up, which in turn would make US products less profitable and in the end would make the US less competitive in the global market.

Where do people get off saying America should give $ Billions to Mexico?America has poured billions into places like that. It doesn't mean a thing. After they've eaten that meal, then what? It lasts for only a day. After our money is gone, then what? It goes round and round in circles. You can pour money in forever. After Mexico,Brazil, etc, etc. There is no one loan We would have to dedicate the rest of our lives to giving Mexico money, and I'm not ready for it. Not in this lifetime, anyway

Mexico has a great economy. The rich and corrupt keep it all for themselves. So it can never be improved. Exporting their poor, diseased criminals is a big part of improving their economy - while ours sinks.
Nafta was supposed to do it.

An improved Mexican economy will mean no illegal immigration for the US.
