None of those were applicable! Have your teacher pick up a copy of the book listed in the source below. It is the "Mein Kampf" of the Salafist Hirabah who planned and carried out the attack on America. If he doesn't know what Salafist or Hirabah means, then he shouldn't be teaching the course.
The only "warning" we ignored was the fatwa issued by Usama Bin Laden in August of 1998 when he declared war on the crusader nations and the U.S.

I watched a great documentary on a man named Robert Hanssen. They also maid the movie "Breach" about him.

He is considered to be the worst spy in American history, by a very wide margin.

The young agent that brought him down was speaking on the documentary, about how Hanssen leaked the names of hundreds of our oversees operatives, including the ones inside Al Qaeda, Russia and other foreign powers not friendly to the USA. Most of these people were executed in their home countries.

With that said, had we had those human intelligence sources in place, we may have been able to head off this disaster. I felt this was the intelligence communities fault until I saw this documentary.

The answer is in two words Bill CLinton, he had osma bin laden surrounded in a house, and he told them not to get him, had we got him the taliban would have never been able to grow to its power.

It boils down to a case of some organization who wants to prove that the U.S. isn't as mighty as they they claim to be, and they are as vulnerable as anyone else.
