Saddam killed his own people, but the US military under the Congress and Bush have done a good bit of torturing and killing Iraqis too and even bringing in private contractors to torture and smuggle weapons and whatnot, and that's not even mentioning to good old Afghan opium trade.

ok this is wierd i have two friends one had a green card and one didnt. well they both slept with minors when they were about 18 and 19 and they both ended up in jail for a few months. the wierd part is that the one with no papers got let go after his time and the one with the green card got an INS hold and hes been held for about 8 months now and his sentance was only 90day they currently have him in arizona are they going to take his green card away??? is he getting deported???????and why didnt they do anything to my friend that didnt have any papers!!!!!!

ok i'm doing a report on life from ireland coming to the americas. however for the report we have to find out what they experienced at Ellis Island, and what like i guess you can say forms they had to fill out to come to america, how much they paid what test they took all that stuff. i found out a bunch of stuff about how life was when they came to america but i can't find about hte journey itself. anyone have any help? i have life in ireland and i have life in america but i need to know stuff about the experiences of coming to america, because you have to pretend that YOU are the person coming, so you have to write a diary, so i need to write about how i got there and all that. any help? =/

The defendant could not be reached. The court records state "summons not served". The case, at this point in time, is listed as "open". I assume that it is the plantiff's responsibility to continue to attempt to locate the defendant. If the defendant can not be located, how long can the case remain "open"? And what will be the eventual outcome?

My brother is a police officer (outside USA) and is asking me to buy a holster for him. It is a lot cheaper to buy the holster here in the US. I do not know if it is legal to buy a holster even without a gun license. If so, what law will protect me? I do not want to get in trouble with the government.

Perhaps I was too harsh?? I did not mean to be so critical of the British for what they did to Hamburg and Dresden when they bombed it during WW2.I was in Dresden in Oct 2003 and Hamburg in Sept 2006. Both cities are very beautiful of course especially Dresden. The Speicherstadt or warehouse district of Hamburg is beautiful as well.I realize that the Nazis did some serious damage to the UK....I think some very old historical buildings were destroyed not to mention human lives.I'll go back to London this Winter Break Feb 2008 for a little cheap getaway as well as go to berlin to visit some friends of mine.

Why should I vote? There are two parties that could ever possibly win (anyone who disagrees is dillusional), and they both suck. Either a Republican gets elected, lowers taxes because which raises the national debt, and starts a war, or a Democrat gets elected, does nothing, and folds under even the slightest of international pressures. Voting in America seems to be mainly about picking a guy from one of the two real choices that seems to suck the least. My political leanings tend to fall somewhere near the Democrat line. It is quite obvious that in the next election, one of the "novelty" minority candidates will be picked, and then crushed when the Republicans pull some non issue out of their *** like gay marriage (quickly follwed by the sheep screaming about God's will) Hell, with corporate lobbies, who's to say a President from either party wouldn't just be the same man (yes, twill still be a white Christian male, believe it) with a different gloss? What is even the point?

Someone just answered a question asking if Bush is the worst president ever like this:
"Remember your insight 25 years from now when you are an adult and Bush is considered one of our better modern presidents. He is the first to take on this modern warfare of terrorism. He is not an idiot, he won the election to be the most powerful person on earth, twice! He is making unpopular decisions in spite of all the slander against him. So even though the majority of people are not approving in the way he is going he shouldn't listen to them? isn't it the president's job to work FOR the people, he isn't a king, so shouldn't he listen to what we want? He should be listening to the polls, they represent the will of the American people... don't you think?
