The spirit of resistance to government is so valuable on certain occasions, that I wish it always to be kept alive.

The bible is not particularly eloquent, nor does it communicate clearly, nor does it make me care about its characters. Meanwhile, I can think of a dozen writers right off that accomplish all of the above.

The recruiter told me that after basic, depending on how long his tech school was I may be able to go with him. Is this true? He said if it was 20 weeks or more I could, but I read another answer and they said 26 weeks. WHICH IS IT???

Face it Democrats, you have no good answer on this. Bush made both Clinton and Kerry look inept and unpresidential.

I know that there are some privatized airports in Europe, but airports in the US are usually run by cities and counties. Do they actually make a profit, or do they need taxpayer subsidy in order to survive?

Ron Paul supporters sound like brainwashed, braindead adherents of Jim Jones or Pat Robertson.

You've got to be pretty stupid to fall for that kind of bullsht, man...

I got my grandson to download a whole bunch of barking dog mp3s and I put them into a big list on itunes on my computer. I play it and turn my speakers up as loud as they'll go and I leave it on when I leave to try and torment my neighbors, because they are loud too, huh? That's mostly why I don't like any of them, it is not because they are fat which is why they think I don't like them.

Part of my plan is that they might come talk to me one day about my dogs being too loud and I can just be all like "what dogs? I don't have dogs" - and by the way I DID ask them to please be quieter, and I brought over cookies when I did it too and they still are loud. But can I get into trouble for this or no?

Unpaid taxes are as much a burden to law-abiding taxpayers as any spending item. People who withhold taxes they owe are stealing from the government in the same way as someone who falsely files for TANF benefits, except the sums are likely much larger. The IRS estimated that in 2001, more than $340 billion in taxes went unpaid, an amount that is roughly equal to 20 times federal spending on TANF in that year.
1) Tax collections should be serious (the IRS must get tough with people who lie and cheat) and it should focus on the people who owe the most money. Only 1 in 20 people who earn more than $1 million a year get audited. By contrast, 1 in 5 people who file for the earned income tax credit (EITC) has their returns reviewed. The most that anyone can cheat the government out of on the EITC is $4,500 a year.

Shouldn't we be going after the BIG fish?
Who's really going to cheat the government out of more money? I think we ALL know the answer to that one...
Thoughts?

What has the United Nations--or other non-governmental organizations--done in attempting to resolve the issue of hunger?
-What are these organizations?
-What are they doing?
-and what do you think they should do?

If you have any information on Senegal and the hunger issue there, that'd be great!

A recent non partizan survey found only 6 people on the whole Earth that still supported Bush.

Looks like that 17% approval rating Bush is bragging about is really .0000017%. Just like the Iran Nuuk-Lar program.

I made a few remixes of various songs and would like to post them on myspace using an artist's profile; so I decided to create my own. While I was reading the TOS it said that I'm supposed to verify that the content is legally mine and that I won't post other Artists' work.

So, I was wondering if I would be covered by the TOS and be able to post my content or if I would have to go about obtaining royalties in order to be covered "legally" by MySpace's TOS
