I made a few remixes of various songs and would like to post them on myspace using an artist's profile; so I decided to create my own. While I was reading the TOS it said that I'm supposed to verify that the content is legally mine and that I won't post other Artists' work.

So, I was wondering if I would be covered by the TOS and be able to post my content or if I would have to go about obtaining royalties in order to be covered "legally" by MySpace's TOS

Yes of course you need to license the works, except under some Fair Use exceptions, including parody or satire. Unlikely that Weird Al pays for the music he uses under this clause for instance.
