my dad was driving home where he stopped at a red light and when it turned green he when but then a policeman's car which was across from him turn left. they almost hit so the policeman pulled him over and said that he didn't stopped and he ran a red light and almost hit him and gave him a ticket.so i want to know if there is any way to get the video from that policeman's car

it was in diamond bar,CA.
is if there wasn't any video dose my dad have any chance to fight this?

The video is a matter of public record, and can be requested through the records division.

No subpoena is necessary, you can request under Open Records laws. They must either give you the information you request, or provide a written response as to why your request was denied.

There is no state law mandating officers record all the time, it is governed by local policy, so there may not be a video to release.

The video only rolls when the police activate their emergency equipment so the video will only show your dad being pulled over. You can always subpoena it for court but I'd be sure to view it before I tried to present it as evidence.

You can subpoena it in court.

However, not all cars have it. And MY car has it, but it does not go on until I activate my emergency lights or siren.
