In other words as dumb as Bush &/or Republicans may be and/or sound to Dems, most of America (which doesn't have much more than a community college education) loves what they say.

And the more Dems/libs call them dumb the more that vast majority of Americans like the GOP. So Dems/Hillary, if you want to win that election(s) in 2008 start talking & thinking like a red neck you are doomed to repeat what happened in 2000.

Instead of giving them all this money, why don't we evenly distrubute the wealth so everyone is equally paid?

I can't believe the large number of people close to President Bush who have resigned under questionable circumstances. I don't remember another President who had such a large number of associates resign. But then, I think the older you get the more aware you are of politics. So it could have happened when I was younger with my awareness. Is there someone out there older than I who can tell me if we have ever seen anything like this before in the United States?

*ance at getting health care as well? The rich can afford it anyways. They should pay MUCH more because they don't need extra money anyways. And then we can have a system that benifits EVERYONE! It works great in Canada and Sweden and I'm pretty sure other countries as well.

I'm an 18-year-old female, soon to be taking the ASVAB to enlist in the Marines. I took the practice test and scored an 80, which is apparently really good. I will take the oath of enlistment and officially enlist this Wednesday. Either tomorrow or the day after that, I'll be choosing my desired job. I want something in aviation. I know I can't fly anything because I'll be enlisted but what are the different jobs in aviation support that I can choose from? I know they'll tell me when the time comes to choose, but I'd like to research my options ahead of time.

I want 5 different reasons or more if you have them...since we all know you cant really place the blame on one or two things.

I especially want to hear about nationwide macro economic trends of concern that may be contributing factors

In a recent survey at California State University at Northridge, 96.1% said they think it is wrong to use abortion as a method of birth control.

http://str.typepad.com/weblog/files/ywam_csun_survey_071024d.pdf

I found that curious because there are so many people who are pro-choice. Apparently, there must be a lot of pro-choice people who think it's wrong to use abortion as a method of birth control. So I'm curious why the pro-choice people think that would be wrong.

Let me explain why this is a puzzle to me so you can better address my question. It seems to me that the only reason an abortion for any reason could be wrong is if the unborn is a human being with a right to life. If it's just a blog of tissue, I don't see why any justification for abortion would even be necessary, so a person ought to be able to have an abortion for any reason. It's no more immoral than having a bunyon removed. But if it is a human being with a right to life, then why be pro-choice?

I have reasons to believe the ticketing officer (NY - Westchester County) clocked my speed inaccurately. He told me to make my court date and if I did he would "work with me." Does NY law require that the ticketing officer show up in court for my hearing?

I say we should change the way elections are done. It should be stipulated that candidates (for whatever election--local, state, or federal) be allocated EQUAL portions of funding from the US treasury to fund their campaign. This means that candidates won't have any strings being pulled from the sidelines because they have no obligation to the special interest groups that seek to have their way carried out through the proxy--the potential policy maker.

This also means that candidates can push their ideas and promises with much less ulterior motives, and of course, everyone has an equal footing because of equal funding.

I'm a firm believer of our system of capitalism, but the line between public and private is drawn for a reason, and the two should never mesh.

What do you guys think?
